There are many causes to the over population of jellyfish. One of the origins is pollution. When the earth is polluted it increases the number of dead zones. Zooplankton thrive in these dead zones; jellyfish also thrive on zooplankton. When there is a higher population of zooplankton, jellyfish can become bigger and in a larger population. Another cause for the spread of jellyfish is over fishing, when there is less fish that eat jelly fish, it causes their population to grow. Another problem is the warming ocean, when the water warms the jellyfish are enabled to move into new areas.
