His mother reported having a difficult pregnancy; he was a bubbly happy kid. But he was always sick he had ear infections and throat infections. But then at the age of two his family moved to Iowa and his father got a new job. Jeff and his father had a very good relationship. While he was in Iowa his father was cleaning out their crawl space where there were a lot of dead animal bones and Jeff reported saying that he loved the noise that they made. His interest in the noise of the animal bones is a slight warning of one of the MacDonald triads. He moved to Doylestown Ohio. After that started elementary school and his little brother David was born, his teachers reported that Jeff was starting to feel neglected. At this point his parents began to fight a lot and they were constantly yelling at each other, they each got separate rooms. After something exciting like moving happens, something bad always happens like his parents fighting so he associates good things with bad. Jeff would always leave his house and go into the forest by his backyard and hit the trees and wonder why his family just couldn’t get along. His family not being happy obviously affected him in a strong way and made him feel alone and helpless. Jeffrey suffered from a double hernia and had surgery to correct the problem at the age of 4. He was always sick and in the hospital. After that the Dahmers moved into a new house and he became friends with a little boy named Lee. He went to school one day and took a bowl of tadpoles and gave them to his teacher who gave them to Lee, later Jeff took the tadpoles and killed them with motor oil. This is another example, he tried doing something nice for someone and his teacher just gave them away which hurt his feelings so he killed the good thing. And again the Dahmer family moves to another house in Ohio, and he attends a new
