Jeffrey Dahmer was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on May 21, 1960. No one would have

guessed that the happy little boy would grow up to be one of America's most gruesome serial

killers. After the age of six, when he had double hernia surgery, Dahmer's life became

tumultuous. His mother had child when Dahmer was eight, his father took a new job, moved

the family to Ohio, and soon after, his parents got a divorce. Dahmer's once bubbly personality

changed, he became angry, withdrawn and lacked self confidence. He started killing small

animals and dismembering them by the age of fourteen and at the age of eighteen, he killed his

first victim.

He had a serious drinking

problem which caused him to drop out of college and enlist in the military. His alcohol problem

worsened and he was discharged from the military for his alcoholism. He returned to Ohio, but

he ran into a few problems with the law. His father sent him to live with his grandmother in

Wisconsin. He moved in with his grandmother, but his drinking continued and he was arrested

many times. Dahmer's problems continued. "In September 1987, Dahmer took his second victim,

Steven Toumi , whom he met in a gay bar. They checked into a hotel room and drank heavily, and by the following morning, Tuomi was dead" (Web). Dahmer bought a suitcase and shipped

Toumi's body back to his grandmothers house. He opened the suitcase once he returned home to

his grandmothers house, went to the basement, had sex with the corpse, dismembered the body,

ate the skin, then disposed of the body parts. The body was never found.

Dahmer preferred to find his victims in gay bars, bring them home, kill them, have sex

with them, dismember them,and dispose of their bodies. Dahmer was arrested for for child

molestation, but remarkably only spent one year in prison because his lawyer pleaded that

    LeRoy Karas seemed to be a young man who had a future in sports stemming from his athletic abilities and physical build which lead to a scholarship in football. His outgoing personality and good looks made him popular with the ladies and on the party scene. He was also favored by his parents over his year younger brother Elroy. At age 61 it was discovered that LeRoy had cirrhosis of the liver and a form of emphysema, yet he continued to drink and smoke. His drinking eventually lead to a fall at age 64 which caused a skull fracture resulting in a 3 1/2 month hospital stay where he berated the staff, fell into a depression and had suicidal idealizations.…
