Jane Goodall Has Hope-Even During Trying Times Summary
Paper View Jane Goodall is well known for her studies and discoveries on Chimpanzees. While that is the thing she is most known for, it isn't the only thing that she has a strong suit for. In the article "Why Jane Goodall Has Hope - Even During Trying Times", it tells how Jane Goodall was a firm advocate for hope and how everyone should have some. Because of this, I believe that Jane Goodall is a hero for our time because she is supporting us to reach for hope and because she is a great example of how we should live our lives.

As many people say that hope is something that we should all have in ourselves, Jane Goodall is one of those people. In her book of hope, she wrote, it gives real life scenarios that show people being hopeful for small things that end up bringing a complete greater meaning to the simple small thing. For example, one of the examples that Jane Goodall used was after World War II, the city Nagasaki, one of the cities hit by the two atomic bombs, was left in rubble. "Scientists predicted that nothing would grow for decades. But, amazingly, two 500-year-old camphor trees survived. Only the lower halves of their trunks remained, and from those most of the branches had been torn off. Not a single leaf remained on the mutilated trees. "(The Book of Hope 7). But, soon later the truth began to sprout and today it is a full and normal tree with great leaves.
