The contest is over. James Haliday’s fortune has finally been won. The backstory to the contest is as follows. When James Haliday (creator of the OASIS) passed away six years ago, in his will was a video. That video explained that before he died, Haliday inserted “easter eggs” into his most popular game. He programmed in three different keys to three different gates. The first player to open the last gate wins Haliday’s fortune of over 240 billion US dollars. Haliday gave gunters, people who tried to win the contest, a hint in the form of a riddle. This riddle led them to one of the keys which then had another riddle, this was how pleople were supposed to find all the keys and gates. The Sixers are the yin and the gunters are the yang. The Sixers are a multimillion dollar company with experts who are trying to win the prize. Richard Ramirez was serial killer who went on a two rampage killing innocent people in southern California. He raped and tortured more than 25 victims and killed more than a dozen of them. Most of these victims were killed in their own homes; as he would find opened windows and doors in the night to kill his victims. Alex Grey was born on November 29, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio to a middle class family eventually becoming one the world's greatest visionary artists of today. As a young kid he use to collect insects and dead animals and bury them in his backyard until he was bitten by a rabid bat. He had to endure a painful series of rabies antitoxin injections with a serum that was made of dead dried duck embryos which left a big lump under his skin. At age 10 he would watch his grandmother turn jaundice yellow and asked his dad when she would be getting better. He told him she wouldn't get better, and that she was dying. These things taught him something about death and how things don't last forever. This early brush with the non-living as well as with medicine warped his art subject matter and got him thinking what happens to us when we die and if we have a spirit where does it go.…

Thomas E. Patterson explains the concept of selective incorporation as the process by which certain of the rights contained in the Bill of Rights become applicable through the Fourteen Amendment to actions by the state governments. Before the doctrine of selective doctrine, the Bill of Rights only applied to action by the federal government and not against action by the states. Until in 1925, the Court invoked the Fourteen Amendment in a case involving the state government, which marked a fundamental shift in constitutional doctrine. Which concluded that a right protected by the Bill of Rights from action by the federal government was now also protected from action by individual states, leading to a more national understanding of civil liberties.…

Over the years I have become a very novice reader enjoying different authors; Here are a few examples of the different authors I enjoy Dean Koontz, Ann Rice, John Grisham and James Patterson. Each one holds something different in their own way and style of writing, but together they all have the same thing in common they know how to start a story by holding my attention, and I give any author kudos if they can do that. An example of how I choose a book, I will start by reading the first few paragraphs of the first chapter and if I can’t put the book down then I am hooked and have a new one for my library.…
