Jamaica Trip
A Trip to Jamaica!

I walked up to the house after I checked the mailbox with some letters and bills in my hands. As I was going through the mail, I noticed that I had received a letter from the Jet-Around-The-World Sweepstakes. When I got inside I showed my mom and she watched as I carefully opened the envelope with a letter inside. We would like to inform you that you are our lucky winner for the Grand Prize in the Jet-Around-The-World Sweepstakes. You and a plus one have the use of an airplane for three whole days! You can choose any destination in the world, and you will be flown there for free! Please remember, you are allowed to have only one other person with you on this adventure. I hope you both have a fantastic time on your trip! Congratulations! My mom and I were very excited as we finished reading the letter. “Since you’re the lucky winner, which of your friend’s are you taking?” my mom questioned me. “Rosie,” I stated. After a good night’s sleep, Rosie and I were off to meet the person that would be our flight attendant for the next three days. “Hi, my name’s Mark. I’ll be your flight

“What should we do today?” Rosie questioned. We had just finished eating breakfast and we were getting ready for the long day ahead of us. “How about shopping?” I asked Rosie. “Sounds great!” she replied. So after getting ready we were off to go shopping. We went to about 5 or more different stores. We left with 2-3 bags each. We bought clothes for us and our family, some jewelry, cute stuffed animals, and more. When we finished shopping, we went out to eat for dinner. We ate at a place called, “Benny’s Barbecue and Pizza.” We got a medium cheese pizza. I also got some barbecue wings. Their food was delicious! The pizza’s sauce was amazing! Then layered on top of the sauce was mozzarella and cheddar cheese. The wings were also delicious. The barbecue sauce was to die for! When we were finished eating, we boxed up the leftovers and we walked back to the

When you are an American citizen you really don’t know too much about the world other than the United States of America. Only possible ways to learn about other countries outside of the United States is to travel to them, read articles, do research or watch documentaries on them. With there being over one hundred other countries in the world other than the United States of America, one country that seems very interesting to me is Jamaica. Jamaica caught my interest because many of my family members have been on a cruise to Jamaica, and I have heard some say Jamaica it’s very beautiful, and heard some say that Jamaica is very poor. I don’t believe it’s possible for a place to look beautiful, and poor at the same time. I do know that Jamaica…

In the summer before 9th grade, things were not going great for my family and me, things in school had been very bad, and things at home and out of school were even worse. At the end of July my mother and I, were looking to go on a trip, to get our minds off of everything that had happened in the past year. We threw ideas around, like going to Vermont, Maine, Pennsylvania, and other nearby states to go sightseeing in. We had almost decided on going to Hershey, Pennsylvania, to go to the amusement park, and see other attractions for a few days, but while looking I saw an advertisement for Universal in Florida. I started looking at plane tickets, hotels, and rental cars. We found an awesome deal, and we booked it. I went to go talk to my friend Chris, on Facebook to tell him I was going, as a joke he said, “Take me too!” I told my mom what he said, she laughed and said “Why not?” I told him to convince his parents because we were leaving in 2 days. It took him a full day, but Wednesday night Chris and his mom showed up to my house with his bags packed ready to go to Florida.…

I’ve been to Florida before but it was when I was young so I didn’t remember anything. It was night time and the palm trees was so pretty and the weather was perfect, especially since I was coming from Michigan. This happened when I first moved to Kansas. It was the middle of summer and there were no kids around close to my age so I was alone. Like the dumb kid i was i responded "oh they don't have a house they live in our front yard." Extremely confused and probably creeped out my moms said "can i meet these friends?" It was then I told…

In the past, our family normally makes plans to go on a trip. So this year we decided to travel to Washington D.C. with my grandparents. My parents told us at around Christmas time and said that we were supposed to leave during spring break. I couldn’t wait! We were going all the way down to Washington D.C.! There were a couple of requirements though. For example, we had to keep the whole house spotless without anything on the floors, and we had to stay out of trouble. It was a little struggling for a while, but it was soon over.…
