This massive 1,500-pound animal eats just about anything he wants too. This includes just about everything though from stingrays, squid, fish, smaller sharks, seagulls, and even humans!EARTHWORMThe earthworm has a cylindrically shaped, segmented body that tapers off at both ends. It has a well-developed digestive, circulatory, respiratory and nervous system. The size can range any where from a length of a few centimeters to a length of up to 11 feet. Earthworms can burrow under ground with considerable speed especially in loose soil. What is really interesting is the if you cut a worm in half it stays alive. RED WOODThe towering redwood is the tallest of all trees. During a lifetime of up to 2,000 years it may grow to nearly 400 feet (120 meters) high and more than 30 feet (9 meters) thick at the base. Its close relative, the big tree, or giant sequoia, is among the oldest of the forest trees--it may live for 3,000 years or more. It reaches heights of more than 250 feet (75 meters) and may have a trunk diameter of about 25 feet (8 meters). KILLER WHALEA large, rapacious marine

Last week I read two articles on invasive species and they are eating their way into this paper, The Monster Goldfish and Boar. This paragraph will be on how they are alike. Oh that reminds me, they are eating a lot of things they definitely should not eat like eggs, other animals, soccer fields, etc.. A very naughty thing they are doing is knocking out native species to the area by either eating their eggs or babies, eating the actual adult who lays the eggs or babies, seriously, no joke!!! They are eating a lot, but now let’s get down to how big they are.…

    3. Environmental Niche: The niche of the different species are different because all of the species that I have chosen all live in different environments that they live in. Their “jobs” however, are similar because they all are mostly tertiary consumers on the food webs and food chains for the habitats that they live in. They are mostly at the top of the food chain, because they hunt for all of their food, and they have a large body type making them a larger animal compared to other species of…

There are many animals in the world. Some of them as small as ants and some are even bigger than elephants. These animals live throughout the world, some in the gigantic oceans, some in the coldest of Antarctica or some in the hottest of deserts. These are the classes of animals, mammals, amphibians, birds, reptiles, and insect. Reptiles are cold-blooded vertebrates. They have dry skin covered with scales or bony plates, and they usually lay eggs. Reptiles can be classified into three groups, turtles, snakes, and lizards. There are lots of species of turtles, like the sea turtle who live in the oceans. They can be identified by their long, streamlined shell and their color range of olive-green, yellow, greenish-brown, reddish-brown, or black.…

This lecture will address basic primate classification. Primates are classified based on their features- primates that share certain features are classified into the same group. There are lots of different ways of classifying animals- using an evolutionary taxonomy (like Linneaus’ family tree) or using cladistics. We are going to stick with the evolutionary taxonomy. There is a chart in your book- on Page 168-169 of your book- I would suggest that you have that open as you read this week’s material. It will make sense, I promise!…

After casting my Egyptian astrological chart, I was given Anubis, the god of death and mummification. Anubis represents responsibility and the objective parts of life, such as truth and spirituality of the soul. After casting my Greek astrological chart, I was given the Taurus, the symbol of patience, loyalty, and love. Some of the negative traits of Tauruses were interesting, such as stubbornness, inflexibility, laziness, and possessiveness. After casting my Mayan astrological chart, I was given the Jaguar, the symbol of sensitivity, intelligence, spirituality, religion, and psychic. According to Mayan definition, the Jaguar symbol represents individuals who are tight-lipped and aggressive, but not confrontational. According to Mayan beliefs, individuals born on Jaguar day…
