Jackie Chan
Who here has ever Jackie Chan’d a toilet handle or a bathroom door? We assume that it has been quite a few if not all of us. This is a tragedy to run into when trying to enjoy time with family, friends, and or loved ones while at a place of entertainment. This is what we aim to eliminate at our amusement park. We will achieve this goal by first, setting a higher standard of cleaning. Second, cleanliness will be fun for all park goers. Third, we will clean and inspect all park equipment. When all three of these objectives are executed we will have no further need of our kung-fu skills in the bathroom. The first step in achieving our goal of a clean park is to raise the bar on being clean. Tim Duncan a power forward for the San Antonio Spurs once said “Good, better, best. Never rest till your good is better than your best.” A way that we will do this is by employing enough maintenance personnel to run multiple cleaning crews at all times. Our park is quite large so this is crucial to keeping trash and messes under control. In addition to having enough personnel to control waste at the park we will implement a tight routine schedule to monitor the washrooms. Also certain crews will be designated to specific restrooms so the workload is divided up evenly. The second step in reaching our goal is to make cleanliness fun for all our visitors. One method we will use is to place small basketball hoops over every trash can or recycling bin. We hope that the sound of a satisfying buzzer will motivate all of our guests to try their hardest to get that trash they possess into these receptacles. Another method of motivating our guests to help keep our park clean is to keep watch over our guests and randomly reward those who keep trash off the grounds. These rewards can include anything from a free season passes to a special reward coupons. We hope that this small incentive will keep guests aware that there might be someone watching when they least expect it. (Except in

I also carry out visual risk assessments of the toileting area before each use. I ensure that risks are kept to a minimum by making sure there is enough room to carry out manoeuvres, that the floor is dry and litter free, and that there are soap, gloves and aprons available. As part of infection control assessments I check that the toilet itself is clean and that my own hair and that of my colleague is tied back and that we both follow correct infection control procedures.…

Trash, garbage, junk, debris-all alternatively known as litter-scattered across the 268,597 square miles of Texas on our highways and landscapes. Where former First Lady Claudia Alta "Lady Bird" Johnson aspired to see bright and colorful wildflower blanketing the great Texas countryside, oftentimes we only see disturbing amounts of garbage. This is what I aim to change. Through my school's Key Club I have had the opportunity to have a positive impacts in reducing the "over 435 million pieces of visible litter" covering "our empire wide and glorious." In the thirty-eight total service hours I have dedicated to both Texas Adopt-A-Highway and school wide recycling the amount of litter that myself and the generous volunteers…

Our environment is ever changing; some of these changes are brought bought by human behavior. The changes brought about by human behavior can be both positive and negative. Environmental cues can be explained as elements in the environment which send important information or trigger effective reactions out of individuals (Steg, 2013). In each environment there are cues that influence the relative strength of the goal to keep to social norms and to legitimate rules in general (Steg, 2013). The environmental cues serve to possibly encourage individuals to behave in a way that is positive for the environment, and engage in behaviors that promote positive environmental impact. One of the effects that environmental cues have on individual’s that is a positive effect is through the use of these cues is recycling. When recycling is encouraged in an area through the use of media, and by providing recycling bins, this will result in an individual participating in recycling programs which has a positive effect on the environment.…

The decision by the city commission to adopt curbside recycling is a step in the right direction — which is why we fully support its leadership on this issue. However, the decision by the city commission to make curbside recycling optional rewards the wrong behavior (polluting), and punishes the right behavior (recycling). Those who already recycle will choose to participate in curbside recycling and pay for it. Those who do not recycle…

The bread-and-butter of the film industry is the action movie. Each summer, audiences can expect to see car chases, gunfights and explosions, and studios can expect to see millions and millions of dollars in return. Though most viewers and critics see these movies as "fluff" entertainment (and rightfully so), there is one director that puts as much heart and soul into his "fluff" as any number of talented directors put into their "serious" movies. His name is John Woo. Even though you may not have heard about him, he is widely considered to be "the best contemporary director of action films working anywhere."…
