Becoming Drill Team Captain was such a great experience. I feel as if becoming captain helped me with my leadership skills. Whenever my coach isn't at school, or she's busy, I have to be the one to make sure my team is on task with whatever we are doing. I lead warm ups, go over routines, etc. What made being captain so special to me was that I was able to help out my teammates. I helped them not only physically , as in perfecting the routines, but I also helped them emotionally and mentally. There's so many girls that come to me, needing someone to talk to. I love to help girls become more confident. Throughout the years I've been on drill team, and having different experiences each year, I've…
JROTC stands for, Junior Reserved Officer Training Corps. The program started in the year 1916, and is used to motivate young people to become better citizens. The JROTC drill team program started in the year 1975, and was founded by Gussie Nell Davis. The first team to ever be created by dance was called, Flaming Flashes. The drill teams in JROTC can be any kind of arts, because of the way that the battalion uses many other objects to perform what they like, by using anything in order to let their creativity out. Some drill teams use rifles, others use motorcycles, cars, horses, even lawn mowers in some cases.…
Leadership is defined as the process in which an individual influences the group of individuals to attain a common goal. The goal is attained by mutual cooperation and behavior. A leader has a sense of positivity and directs others to reach the specified goal. In The Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps, (JROTC) the leaders teach us how to become better leaders. They also teach us to build character and leadership by providing guidance and putting us cadets in a position that we are not accustomed to. This helps us adapt to new types of things. We also have to set the example for the school, especially when we wear our uniforms. When we put on that uniform it means we are to be a leader. People watch us because we have the uniform on and they know we are a part of JROTC therefore they expect more out of us. A leader is someone who stands not only for their cause but takes responsibility and motivates other individuals also. There is a difference between being a boss and a leader. A leader is a motivation for others and inspires individuals to aim higher and attain that aim. However, a boss only supervises over his inferiors. Power naturally comes to a leader but power has to be earned by a boss. The best leaders are those who can lead and direct without misuse of their power. They must be able to inspire others in a direction or greater good. They must be strong enough to stand firm in decision making and leading others without a selfish attitude. In order to be a successful leader it is essential to have good character. You must have honesty, confidence, communication, and commitment. You have to have honesty because if someone is doing something wrong you need to be able to have honest feedback. You need communication because you need to be able to command your platoon. You need to have commitment because you need to stick with it and create a relationship with your platoon so you, and they, will feel more…
The five words that I believe that describes me are Bi or multi-lingual, organized, visionary, resilient, and listener. Multilingual because I speak and write Spanish and English. I’m a visionary person because I’m always having ideas for my future and dream about accomplishing my goals. I learn to be a resilient person because if I don’t recover quickly from a difficult situation it will not take me anywhere in life. I never let a difficult situation stop me…

Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program can be a three-year journey of life changing experiences that build character and leadership. I was a sophomore when I first join JROTC, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Throughout my student life being a cadet, I was challenged physically, mentally, and emotionally. But I was able to learn more about teamwork and leadership. The curriculum consists of practical exercises that directly target an individual’s leadership and character. JROTC has taught me what I would not have learned in any other class in high school. Cadets have overcome fears and have formed lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories. Overall, they have found JROTC has molded a sense of character within them just it has for me.…
Many meat packaging companies like yours, are there for processing meat from the animals such as pigs, cows, chicken, turkey, and so on. People may think that the meat that people buy from the market are safe, but what they don't know is the fact that sometimes even the meat on the floor are packaged with the clean meat. The fact is, regulations are needed for this problem, because without regulations many people will become sick. This is a great problem, thus it is my opinion that a solution is necessary. In my opinion a class should be started for all the worker at your factory, and they should be taught that meat that are on the floor should not be packaged with the good meet. The bad meat should first be cleaned before being re packaged, thus resulting in less problematic sickness from unclean meat. Once the meat is cleaned, there will be a significantly depletion of people dying from the food that they eat. You may think that this will be expensive to do, the fact is it won't really cost that much. In fact, all you have to do is find one of the many managers that you already have hired to do the teaching. Finally, it is important that you know that if you adopt this proposal, it will not only save many lives, but you will also be able to raise your met value thus increasing your income.…
