The second story is about ‘’ Yeh-Shen ‘’ it’s a Chinese story and was written by Ai-Ling Louie, it was originally published in 1982, and is over 1000 years before the first European Cinderella story appeared. The third story is about ‘’A Young Girl Named Oochigeaskw ‘’. It’s a Native American tale and was written by Rafe Martin, and was originally published in 1992. …show more content…
They all have a Cinderella Character. Cinderella is treated poorly and badly in all three stories. They all have something to do with magic. And they all end up marrying a Price or a King at the end. All three stories are very different because they all are from a different Countries of origin. They all end up with a different punishment. There’s only one story that has an invisible Prince and which is the Native American story. Also, the Native American story does not have a stepmother that treats Oochigeaskw badly it is actually her sisters that force her to do hard chores. The three stories have different magical things. The poem that is written in the book is the stepmothers view point, it has rhymes, and it is very different, because she says in the poem about treating Cinderella very kindly, which is not true at all compared to the
