For some people it is hard to fit in, and that’s what it’s like for Auggie Pullman, from Wonder by R.J. Palacio, and Quarta, from The Girl who was Born with only Two Arms and Two Legs by Stuart Baum. First of all, they both have physical deformations and that makes it hard for them to fit in. They would get made fun of because of the way they look, and that also makes it really hard for them to fit in.
To start off, it is hard for both Auggie and Quarta to fit in because they both have physical deformations. Quarta, a spider, only has two arms and two legs. She wouldn’t be able to play balls and sticks because she would have to catch the balls and sticks with two arms and two legs but that was all she has. Also, no one would hang out with her and she would be lonely, so she would eat lunch alone all the time. This proves that Quarta has a physical deformation and that it is hard for her to fit in. Now, Auggie also has a physical deformation. When he was born his face was all messed up so he had a lot of surgeries. Auggie would wear an astronaut helmet because everyone would stare at him and it would make him sad. He was like the ugly duckling but he tried to hid it. Also, when he didn’t have the astronaut helmet, he would grow
To start, Quarta would get made fun of for not being able to catch the balls and sticks. They would hit her and then she would fall and every would burst into laughter. Also, others would talk behind her back and it would make her sad. This proves that Quarta would get made fun of and it is hard for her to fit in. Now, Auggie would get made fun of as well. Everyone would stare at him and talk behind his back. Also, when Auggie would turn away from some people they would “gag”. This would make Auggie want to be home schooled again. This proves that Auggie would get made fun of and it is hard for him to fit
