It/240 Week 2 Assignment
Hi my name is Brian Warren and I live in Queens, NY. I am 33 years old and my birthday is in May. Now I am a student at the University of Phoenix studying to be an IT.

I earned my GED back in 2006 and right after I got it I went to apply to Laguardia community college where I stayed for a year due to financial restrictions. I have had numerous jobs, from being a foot messenger to driving a limo, but none of them have ever kept me happy except working on computers and I have only done that as a hobby fixing friends computers, so I think that it is time to start getting paid for doing what I love to do.

I not only fix computers, but I also build them. The one that I am using now is my second one that I built and the first one I had I gave to my son. I find it more cost effective and better when I build my own computer. In my spare time I go on the computer and I play my xbox 360. I love to read and my four favorite authors are Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Tom Clancy and John Grisham.

I have now have four children (Son fourteen years old, daughter five years old and daughter two years old, and a brand new son whom is 2.5 months old) and I have been married for two and a half years. I am extremely grateful for my family, for their love and support. While I embark on this journey of going back to school, their love and support will help me through the good and the bad, it will help me with any stress I might encounter.

I hope to get to know all of you and if you need any help with any computer related problems please feel free to ask. If I am able to help I will. Good Luck to

In your own words, describe each of the five steps of the writing process. The first step is pre-writing. Prewriting is basically thinking: first you choose a topic to write on, than you listen to your work, after that you brainstorm ideas, etc… This step helps to get the creative thought flowing; also identifies who, what, where, when, and why. Free-writing and idea mapping are ways to start thinking about the main topic, and also allows the writer to find how they can relate with the topic. Once the writer has an idea on what they want to write about, he or she should begin outlining the structure of their ideas.…

ENG/125 8/6/2012 A Poem Poetry is not something that I would normally be interested in. I’ve tried writing poetry only to end up a dismal failure. I’ve tried to read poetry only to end up bored halfway through. I’ve always wanted to be one of those soulful poetic types who walk around with a serene look on their faces, snapping their fingers when something tickles their fancy but I’ve never quite made that transition. Poetry, to me, seems to be a fanciful, ethereal pursuit that has somehow always gone over my head no matter how hard I’ve tried. Since I’ve failed miserably at being a poet or even enjoying poetry, you can imagine my surprise when I read “Dog’s Death” and not only enjoyed it but it touched my heart. A good poem knows how to grab not only the reader’s attention but will snag the reader’s emotions and take them on a roller coaster; whether it has a happy or a sad ending the poem should keep the reader’s interest until the end.…

The poem “The road not taken” by Robert Frost outlines a scenario every human being on the planet has encountered. The images and emotions evoked are masterfully woven into the style that Frost used. Using the formalist approach this poem is easily stripped down to the intent of sharing a common decision making process with the readers. Robert Frost is able to skillfully use writing techniques to share a common experience of which road to take in life and create a poem that evokes those memories every time.…

Week 4 Assignment PSY 240 November 13, 2013 To Eat or Not to Eat Hello everyone. My name is Ruth and I want to talk to you guys about eating disorders. An eating disorder is essentially an illness that disrupts a person’s every day diet which can cause a person to pretty much stop eating or over eat, depending on the illness. These illnesses are more apparent in the teenage years and in to young adulthood (Pinel, 2011), which makes sense because this is when we start becoming more aware of our bodies as well as other people’s bodies. We might want to look like the model we just saw on TV and will do anything to get that body, right? But an eating disorder is not the way to go; we will get in to the effects of eating disorders here in a few minutes, but let us start with the types of disorders.…

The topic for my final project is: Credit scores are a fair measure to help lenders estimate potential risk. Credit lenders take a big risk in borrowing large sums of money to people, so that’s why a credit check is taken in order to prove to the lenders you will be a responsible person and can afford to pay back what you borrow. My points of views for this topic are the people who already have a loan and people who are considering a loan for the first time. Also how to prepare yourself to get approved for a loan, and what to expect after you have the loan. I will like to organize my paper with useful information and provide pros and cons on loans, and what types of lenders are available to you.…
