The topic of my Argumentive essay is on the benefits of Issue 2. The purpose of Issue 2 is to pass Senate Bill 5, which will budget Ohio’s money, and “better the economy”. I believe that there are no benefits from Issue 2; in fact, I believe that Issue 2 is nothing but trouble. Senate Bill 5 will lay off more teachers, fireman, police officers, etc. Also, it will budget the economy as a whole, taking away from our youth. Finally, it will cause a rise in the unemployment rate, poverty rate, and crime rate.

All of the seasonal sports, activities, and clubs throughout the CMSD are funded through the CMSD. This includes High School and Elementary/Middle Schools. Because of the lack of money, the CMSD has been forced to issue a statement, saying that all spring sports, except for Baseball and Softball, will be canceled. This means that Outdoor Track and Field, Basketball, Tennis, and any other spring sport will not be played at any of the high schools. I was fortunate enough to graduate before this started to take into effect, I even received scholarship offers from colleges for Track, but current seniors and other students are not as fortunate. This will mostly impact the seniors, and the juniors who planned on playing any of those sports. For the seniors, this could potentially kill any chance of college for some of them. There are people who only go to college because of sports, and if those sports aren’t offered, then they cannot play, which means no scouts will be looking at them, ultimately lowering these students chances of getting into college. Saying as how everyone is not fond of going into the military, and in this economy you need a high school Diploma to even be considered for low income jobs [and most of them are not guaranteed jobs at that], some of them might leave right out of high school and end up doing nothing but adding on to the unemployment rate, and some to be poverty
