Iso/22000 Week 2 Individual Assignment
Situation I was having a summer internship at Aneka Indomakmur in the marketing and sales department. During the last week of my internship, the company will have an audit to obtain the ISO 22000: Food Safety Certification.
Task I was assigned to revise the old Standard Operating Procedure and compose the new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for marketing department. The SOP includes business processes in the marketing department which described in the flowcharts. There are three SOPs that I needed to revise which are:
1. Customer’s satisfaction which are divided into distributor and consumers.
2. SPG training
3. Mock and/or product recall

While there are 2 SOPs that I needed to compose which are:
1. Distributor’s inspection
2. Competitors’ analysis

This task was so sudden and due in less than one week from the external audit period.

However, I also realized that change is not easy especially when the current practice already work nicely. Most of the people have already become comfortable with the old practice and do not want to change. Same case when I propose a revision in the old SOPs. I had to convince Mr. Wibowo and Ms. Yuan to change the old SOP, especially in the mock and/or product recall. I think there was a missing link in the business process, therefore additional steps were needed. At the beginning, they do not want to change because it will increase the workload even though they were agree with my opinion. It was because the SOP need to be filled for the auditing purpose and they will not have enough time to follow the new steps. After several discussion, at the end, we agreed to add a simple step to ensure the connectivity while not increase their workload
