The word torture is a term that has international and national publicity. It is defined by the Merriam-Webster dictionary as a : anguish of body or mind : agony b : something that causes agony or pain 2: the infliction of intense pain (as from burning, crushing, or wounding) to punish, coerce, or afford sadistic pleasure and According to "Uslegal" (2001-2012), the legal definiftion is “punishment inflicted in the form of physical or psychological pain inflicted on supposed criminals as a means of intimidation, deterent or punishment, or to induce them to confess their crimes, and to reveal their associates.”(para. 1).
