Is the American Dream Still Achievable?
A wise man named Tommy Hilfiger had once said “the road to success is not easy to navigate, but with hard work, drive and passion, it’s possible to achieve the American Dream”. This quote explains that through willpower and passion, anyone can become successful. However, In the world we live in now, achieving that dream can be tougher than before. The American dream is not as accessible as it should be because the requirements to get a stable career is higher and the struggle to keep it going is more difficult.
The American dream is not as accessible because the requirements to get a career can truly be a struggle. At this moment in time, sable jobs require you to have a proper education. Despite that, an education can have a expensive price that people can’t pay off. On top of that, a job isn’t easy to find anymore. All of these different requirements to getting a job is what makes the american dream rare to achieve. The American dream is still accessible today because there are numerous opportunities and ways to get your career going. What makes Americans want to live in America is the amount of freedom you are provided. Our freedoms gives us the opportunity to succeed on our own terms and to stay independent and self sufficient. Franklin D. Roosevelt had said “freedom means the supremacy of human rights everywhere. Our support goes to those who struggle to gain those rights and keep them.Our strength is our unity of purpose.”. This quote explains that freedom is what makes people thrive and achieve the American dream.
