Is Mythology Still Relevant
To me, studying mythology gives us an idea of certain aspects of ancient culture, and helps explain the origins of various myths. They are our religious roots and are a major part of our culture and heritage. Mythology is still very relevant today, our society is rich with mythology, the Percy Jackson series is a great example. Its relevancy connects to my recent trip to New York, where I visited the iconic Statue of Liberty. The concept of the statue is based on the roman goddess of freedom, Libertas.
