Is it better for children to grow up in country-side or in cities?
Good Morning teachers and my dear friends! Today I am going voice out my opinions about my topic- Is it better for children to grow up in country-side or in cities. Nowadays, parents are very caring for their children, aren’t they? They want their kids to get the best of facilities. The cities provide all of the indispensable amenities so I feel that cities provide a much better environment for the bringing up of children.
Firstly, cities provide good arrangement of education. Today education is a very requisite aspect of life. As Lord Biougham truly said-
“Education makes people easy to lead, but difficult
To drive; easy to govern, but impossible to enslave”
Cities provide good schools for children to gain education from kindergarten to school level also at college and university level. Students who want to pursue higher studies like engineering, medical, research, and management can get all the required facilities in the city. Moreover, cities provide students well-equipped libraries, hi-tech laboratories and research centers. In cities, various sport facilities are available so children can pursue sports as a career. It helps in the all-round development of the child. Take for example the Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh. Many families and individuals find themselves at some point questioning the advantages of city living versus country living. It is nearly impossible to find a good answer to this question. What is good for one person might not be good for another. Some people enjoy the busy, hyper active metropolitan city where they can use all amenities and have unlimited opportunities for work and leisure. At the same time, other people feel the urge to be closer to Mother Nature, relaxation, beauty, and peace. They take pleasure in living in the calm and peaceful environment of the countryside and spending their free time fishing, hiking, picking berries in the woods, or playing in the creek. In my opinion, the nature of urban and rural life style and the effect it has on people is the most important difference between living in the city and living in the country. I feel fortunate to have grown up in the rural area. I would never trade my memories of playing in the creek, riding four wheelers, or climbing trees all within a short walk from my house. Health, education, and transportation are three major concerns that need to be considered. While city life can bring more opportunities in these cases, country life can provide the best of both worlds.…

It is a well-known fact that the world is becoming increasingly urbanized. In almost every country in the world the trend has been for more and more people to move from small towns to larger cities. Although there are certain aspects of living in small town that I would appreciate such as clean air and less noise, however the urbanizing trend pretty much reflects my own preference for living in a big city rather than in a small town, because in my opinion the place one lives in plays more important role in one’s life in terms of wider range of opportunities. I think the education and career opportunities are the most prominent among them.…
