Is Freud's Informative Appropriate?
What did you think when you first saw the TITLE? Is it interesting? Informative Appropriate? Will it attract other readers’ attention?

When I first saw the title I just knew that the essay was going to be very boring. The title did not seem at all interesting. If I had to pick this to read I would not read it because if a title does not seem interesting a reader, like myself will not even want to read this passage don't think that this title will attract other readers because my attention wasn't caught but I had to read it for this class so I dealt with it.

Does the BEGINNING grab readers’ attention? If so, how does it do so? Does it give enough information about the topic? Offer necessary background information? How else might the piece

The beginning paragraph does not make a very clear idea of the passage because the beginning does not give enough information about the topic it just seems like a lot of words that are in a sentence that does not make much since. Instead this could begin with talking about his view on the topic.

Is there a clear THESIS? What is it?

There is a clear thesis, it states, “Woody Allen shows that it is in fact women who benefit most from Freud's work-specifically, Freud's theories of psychoanalysis.” The author of this essay had a thesis statement but throughout the essay it didn't feel as though he stayed on track with his thesis. His thesis should have been his guide to keep himself on track with what he was talking about and so that the reader could better understand what he was writing about.

Is there sufficient SUPPORT for the thesis? Is there anywhere you’d like to have more detail? Is the supporting material sufficiently DOCUMENTED?

Throughout the reading there is some information that will show the concept of the thesis, but as I said before the essay does not seem properly written which makes it harder to understand. The author mentioned the movie Annie Hall throughout his essay, the author included this to help support his claim about

The Title of the essay that I chose to read was Two Years are Better Than Four by Liz Addison. The title caught my attention because it is stating that community college is better than a four year university but in a way that makes you want to read. Another reason why it caught my attention was that if I had no idea what the essay was about I would want to know why 2 years are better than four. A way she could have made it better however would have been if she stated what the years were talking about for someone who might not care. For example, she could have said is Community College Better than Traditional or something along those lines. The title however did manage to catch my attention.…

The process of the essay is very clear in terms of argumentation. She seems to capture reader’s attention during the introduction when she uses irony. This could be considered hidden assumption because the reader is supposed to realize a bigger meaning than what’s actually in the essay. But the writing process does consist of some flaws, because Anderson doesn’t start with the main idea of the essay the readers might have to go back…

Though I get the main purpose of this essay, I don’t really think it has created an effect on me. Part of it is because I cannot relate to the character, another is that I know the narrator too well that I know what is going to happen. Everyone knows what is going to happen. Her personality is so set in stone that the room for interpretation is limited. We all know she is super anxious, worrisome, and over-protective from the way she talks to the audience, the way she thought of another woman over the screen, the way she rolls the stroller on the street. In addition, everything is so crystal clear and evident that there is no much need to go back and flip through the story once again to understand the underlining purpose. The ambiguity element is missing in this essay, thus makes this work less appealing and less effective on…

    Annie Hall Film Analysis

Annie Hall considered as Woody Allen’s greatest movie which was released in 1977 shows the story of a failed romance. Starring Woody Allen himself and Diane Keaton the movie represents Allen’s own personal. This movie was a completely different idea of Allen from other movies since all other Allen’s movies are always filmed in a way to seem as laugh machines in which you would laugh all the way through it. Annie Hall interprets the love and the need of workout n a failure of relationship but all of this is treated in a comic way, in a way that would move the audience, make them cry at the end of the movie. Annie Hall has a self-absorbed humor and romance theme with both characters having insecurities, Alvy in his sexual life and Annie on her intelligence, which is a cause that drives their relationship into its demise.…
