Is Bullfighting A Sport
Bullfighting.This is a sport that almost everyone has heard of.It is kind of a sore topic.If you say anything that offends one side they might yell at you are call you jerk.On the other side if you say that it is wrong to bull fight they might call you wimp.The whole thing is sometimes a mess. In order to understand the sport you must understand what the sport is.Bullfighting is somewhat of a solo sport.the only things that are in the arena is the bullfighter and the bull.the fight starts when the trumpet.then the fight begins there are more details but I won't get into that. My opinion is that bullfighting is good.No one gets all up in arms because the chicken at the farm got killed.I mean it is just a sport

    Many people believe this sport is very is brutal, they use words describing it such as “barbaric” and “Human Cock Fighting” when this sport is nothing like that at all. Fighters don’t even take excessive blows to the head as well, every fighter who takes part in this has been training for years, they are very skilled, and if you pay attention most of the moves the fighters execute aren’t intended for the head. With submissions this causes many fighters to go after things such as arms and legs keeping the head safe, but per say some one was being hit the face as soon as the referee comes to the decision that the fighter is no longer protecting himself the fight is over. The referees are trained as well, and they are always looking out for the fighter’s safety. Many people make a big deal of the fighter who passed away in 2007 during a match in Houston but since 1993 there have only been 2 deaths to MMA but in boxing; a sport that is not banned anywhere has produced 70 from 1998-2006. (Myers, 2012) That is 68 more deaths in shorter period of time and doctors want to ban this sport and say boxing is safe; it should blow your mind.…

    Each bull has a unique name and number used to identify the bull. A sufficient number of bulls, each judged to be of good strength, health, agility, and age, are selected to perform. The rider and bull are matched randomly before the competition, although starting in 2008, some ranked riders are allowed to choose their own bulls from a bull draft for selected rounds in PBR events. A rider mounts a bull and grips a flat braided rope. After he secures a good grip on the rope, the rider nods to signal he is ready. The bucking chute (a small enclosure which opens from the side) is opened and the bull storms out into the arena. The rider must attempt to stay on the bull for at least eight seconds, while only touching the bull with his riding hand. His other hand must remain free for the duration of the ride. The bull bucks, rears, kicks, spins, and twists in an effort to throw the rider off. This continues for a number of seconds until the rider bucks off or dismounts after completing his ride. A loud buzzer announces the completion of an eight second ride. Throughout the ride, bullfighters, also popularly known as rodeo clowns stay near the bull in order to aid the rider if necessary.     Bullfighting is brutal and should of been banned long ago. Bullfighting is a traditional Spanish, or Latin America spectacle in which bulls are fought by a matador, assisted by banderilleros and picadors, in the end the bulls are usually slaughtered (“Bullfighting: The Facts”). The matador are always dressed in a traditional costume of brilliant colors. Bullfighting is viewed by many as the mysterious ritual between man and beast. In reality bulls are not aggressive animals, the only reason they are furious and attempts to charge at the matador is mainly, because they have been horrendously abused for the previous two days (“Bullfighting: The Facts”). Their ears are stuffed with wet newspaper; Vaseline is intentionally rubbed into his eyes to blur his vision; cotton is stuffed up his nostrils to cut off respiration; strong caustic solution is rubbed onto his legs to throw him off-balance; and lastly a needle is stuck into their genitals (“Bullfighting: The Facts”). On top of all that, they drug the bulls to slow them down. Just before releasing the bulls into the ring; they are kept for days trapped in a dark box; the purpose being is that when they are released they runs desperately towards the light (“Bullfighting: The Facts”). The matador tries to kill the bull with his sword, every time he misses, he stabs the animal on the back of the neck until the animal is paralyzed (Lucas). The idea for this is to cut the animal’s spinal cord. In many cases the matador fails to do so; the bulls may be completely conscious while its ears or tail are removed as trophies (Lucas).
