Agree people should change the driving age to eighteen for three reasons. Eighteen-years-old are more responsible, mature, and educated to be driving on the roads than sixteen-year-olds.…
At the age of eighteen, teens become more responsible to not do stuff they know will put themselves at risk of death. Studies show that at eighteen the teens brain develops more (The Teen Brain: Still Under Construction). So that’s when they start realizing that they’re doing stuff that’s childish. They now know that texting and driving is very dangerous and so they’ve learned to put their phones down until they’re sitting still and not having to worry about the roads and cars around them.…
Many have disagreed that the minimum driving age should be raised from 16 to 18. It should stay at 16. There are many advantages to driving at an age younger than 18. Various teenagers are unable to participate in extracurricular activities due to no available way to get to and from the activity, teens are able to get jobs and need a way of transportation without depending so much on their parents, and numerous high school graduates are younger than 18 or just turned 18.…
Driving is a serious things. It’s very dangerous. Some people want to raise the age limit on driving. What do you think?…
In the article ‘Should the driving age be raised” by Shari Roan she mentions in her article that the rate of 16 year olds licensed to drive unsupervised fell from 24% in 1997 to 14% in 2007. As that result their is more novices on the roads at ages 18 and 19 mentions Scott V. Masten Accidents will happen we can’t avoid that role play in life even if we are super careful it will get us. There's a difference between Accidents and teens driving out with friends trying be cool by going fast ,those teens are the type of teens that need to be stopped and the police should be strict on. If it's not the person driving it , it's the person driving the other car. They cause danger to their lives and and to other people.…
Before the legislature makes their decision they should think about why 16 - 18 year olds are in more accidents. I personally think it is because of lack of experience. If a study were made, I would predict that it would show all new drivers tend to have accidents. Raising the minimum licensing requirement would only raise the age of the people involved in accidents.…
A great percentage of car accidents nowadays, are caused by young drivers, who are not ready yet to have the power of driving a car. It is dangerous to have a place where young reckless drivers do not know the importance of attetion needed when driving a vehicle. The driving age in United States should be changed to eighteen, to avoid young people to take a too big responsibility early in life.…
Teenage accident rates and mortality rates have increased dramatically over the years. Nothing that the parents do and law enforces will protect the teens all the time, especially from themselves. Teenagers do not realize the responsibility that comes with driving. They are often distracted with other things such as texting while driving. Most importantly, parents always worry about the safety of their kids on the road. Some people may say that the driving age should stay at the age of 16; however, raising the driving age to 18 will create safer and more responsible drivers. Firstly, teenagers are very careless. In addition, increasing the minimum driving age will allow teenagers more time to get comfortable with driving. Finally, the number of fatal accidents will be reduced. Therefore, the minimum driving age should be raised from 16 to 18.…
In conclusion, the minimum age should stay the same. Teens should be able to drive from the age of 16 so they can build their experience and learn responsibility on the road. Many people would agree that it should stay at 16. Teens may be inexperienced and less responsible but they still need their freedom and changing the minimum age will take it…
The real problem is people who does not know the rules for driving on the road ! I know young people age 17 that can drive better than a 50 year old adult, because study show that younger people have better eyesight than older people. Driving is deadly for all age groups and the age for driving shouldn't even be raise by one year, instead we should maybe let the adults know that everyone who is on the road is responsible. So age does not matter but having responsibilities and knowing what to do when you're on the road is.…
Because of safety concerns, many states have increased the age at which teens can begin to drive. Some teenagers at the age of 16 are responsible. Some 16 year olds are irresponsible. Also, all 18 year olds are not responsible and able to drive the correct way. The state legislature should not raise the minimum age from 16 to 18 because some 16 year olds have a job and need transportation, a few may not like to depend on individuals to drive them back and forth, and many teenagers like to do their own things and not always with their parents.…
However, provided that sufficient thought is given, the basis of both arguments crumbles rather quickly. Therefore, it is my opinion that the current driving age of 16 in the United States should not be raised to 18, but should remain unchanged.…
Instead of raising the driving age they should implement more educational driving programs.Because with these driving programs, it's going to help teens get more responsible…
A new 17 or 18-year-old driver is considered safer than a 16-year old driver (Davis). Teenagers should wait until they are older and have more experience to start driving. “ The only way to become a good driver is to get out and learn,” says O’Donnell. But in 2007, more than 4,000 teenagers died as occupants in teen- driven vehicles (Palicz). Furthermore, teens lack of experience not only costs them their lives, but the lives of others. In the end, it does not matter that teens are not getting practice with driving, but that every day another life is lost.…
Changing the driving age to 18 does nothing but change their age if you leave it alone and leaving the driving age to 16 with more practice time behind the wheel will give them some responsibilities and more freedom to themselves. Soon they will become adults and need to have their responsibilities in order to keep them up with the rest of the world and keep themselves together. Do you think the 16 year olds can learn responsibilities young or do you prefer safer streets with possible irresponsible…
