Involuntary Manslaughter Persuasive Speech
One day you decide to go to a party with a friend. You tell your mother that you’re going to be back before dawn. You tell her you love her and leave. Once you’re at the party, you start to drink with your friends. You think about it for a few seconds a few beers can’t hurt right? Wrong once you leave the party a few beers could get you arrested or worst killed. Once you start to drink it starts to affect your body immediately, you might be a lightweight if you weigh less, but for heavier people it will take a few more. Approximately 20% of alcohol is absorbed through the stomach. The 80% other percent is absorbed through the small intestine. You also could kill other drivers with their family in the car. The reason drunk drives survive car crashes, most of the time is that their body will go limp and a sober person will flex their body. You will be arrested and charged with a D.U.I and you might also have manslaughter on your hands.
Manslaughter could have two outcomes involuntary and voluntary Manslaughter. Involuntary manslaughter will still get you in prison for the severity of the crime. Voluntary Manslaughter will most likely get you a longer punishment. Now you will have a felony on your record for all your life, once a felony is on your record it makes it hard to get a job and live day to day. You are the first to come on a crime search. You also will have a hard time with police as they will take more caution with you.
Why would a person drink and drive? Could we put up more procedures to stop drunk driving? We could set up a free taxi cab service for the bars or social get-together this could save thousands of lives. Live that has yet to grow up as children are also killed from drunk driving. Those children might survive and their parents might have been unfortunate enough to die. Those children then have to grow up without a real parent. They will ask themselves “why did this person have to kill my parents I never know then, yet they were taken away from before I could enjoy them.” How could you live with this guilt on your mind? This could eat away at you until you do something that you can’t comeback from
