ABSTRACT
The study on the production of chalk out of sea shells was designed to produce quality dustless and long lasting chalk to compare with the standard existing commercialized chalks if there are any, which was sold in the market. The chalk out of sea shells is for local or non-local used for schools or any educational aspects or even at home which can be formed into different sizes and colors according to your will. We, the researchers, used the sea shells to recycle and transformed it into a useful product that will be used in our developing community. The production of this artifact that has been created by us strictly followed the procedures. First, collect sea shells from the sea shore. Then, boil it until it opens and being crushed into powder and becomes ready to be processed and made to different figures. Thus, the production of the product was accomplished and tested on its quality and strength. Data on the successful product were tested and was finished accurately. Results showed that the said finished product, made from sea shells, is comparable in terms of appearance and quality.

Nowadays ,people can’t oppose the boosting of the countless pests and insects that disturb our daily habits. Controlling of insects and pests is one of the main problems of most farmers and gardeners. So, instead of buying commercial and expensive inorganic insecticides, an alternative and economical insect repellant made up of the sap of euphorbia plant, garlic, and siling labuyo, all natural insecticides derived from different plants which could kill insects and pests. The garlic (alluim sactium) that used for both ordinary and medicinal purposes and even as natural flavoring, could also be a benefit to make an insecticide. The property of garlic that is considered as an effective chemical that can kill insects and pests is its ALICIN, it is not seen in its natural state but when shopped and crushed, the enzyme ALLINASE acts on the chemical ALLIIN converting it to ALLICIN. ALIIN is an amino acid that doesn’t build proteins. Thus, it could kill insects because of its smell which humans dislike too. Furthermore, the garlic helps the insecticide to be more secure and natural. For the siling labuyo(capsicum annuum)which can be purchased at any markets, was also proved to an efficient ingredient in making an insect repellant. It has an active component known as CAPSAICIN . It was said to be an irritant for animals that causes a perception of burning of tissues. Capsaicin is the primary ingredient of pepper sprays. While in the other hand, the sap of euphorbia plant (euphorbia leucocephala), a cactus-like plant with spiny and succulent stems and flowers that are solitary, short and colorful. Base from the researchers, the euphorbia plant has a poisonous principle in all parts and it can be an active component in making an insecticide because it’s high toxicity. It may intense inflammation of the skin and eye to the person or animals that will be affected by this.…

This study is conducted in order to determine the feasibility of charcoal and used engine oil as an alternative raw material for whiteboard marker ink production. The purpose of the study is to help the people especially the students to save cents. For the product is very easy and handy to create furthermore our product promotes recycling and reusing because the materials can be found in household. In addition, the product which is a white board marker ink is very quick to make which saves time and energy. The researchers initially tried to produce a whiteboard marker ink by using a different oil-miscible solvent: a white wine and cooking oil. At first we tried to use the 5 table spoon of white wine. At first, the whiteboard marker worked efficiently but it dried up easily for about 1 day. Secondly, we tried the 5 table spoons of cooking oil (unused) and the ink that has cooking oil produced is darker than the ink with the white wine and the ink works very well.…

Chalk is a source of quicklime by thermal decomposition, or slaked lime following quenching with water. In southeast England, Deneholes are a notable example of ancient chalk pits. Such bell pits may also mark the sites of ancient flint mines, where the prime object was to remove flint nodules for stone tool manufacture. The surface remains at Cissbury are one such example, but perhaps the most famous is the extensive complex at Grimes Graves in Norfolk. Woodworking joints may be fitted by chalking one of the mating surfaces. A trial fit will leave a chalk mark on the high spots of the corresponding surface. Chalk transferring to cover the complete surface indicates a good fit. Builder's putty also mainly contains chalk as a filler in linseed oil. Chalk may be used for its properties as a base. In agriculture, chalk is used for raising pH in soils with high acidity. The most common forms are CaCO3 (calcium carbonate) and CaO (calcium oxide). Small doses of chalk can also be used as an antacid. Additionally, the small particles of chalk make it a substance ideal for cleaning and polishing. For example, toothpaste commonly contains small amounts of chalk, which serves as a mild abrasive. Polishing chalk is chalk prepared with a carefully controlled grain size, for very fine polishing of metals. Chalk can also be used as fingerprint powder. Chalk was also traditionally used in recreation. In field sports, such as tennis played on grass, powdered chalk was used to mark the boundary lines of the playing field or court. If a ball hits the line, a cloud of chalk or pigment dust will be visible. In recent years, powdered chalk has been replaced with titanium dioxide. In gymnastics, rock-climbing, weight-lifting and tug of war, chalk — now usually magnesium carbonate — is applied to the hands and feet to remove perspiration and reduce slipping.Chalk may also be used as a house construction material instead of brick or wattle and daub: quarried chalk…
