INTRODUCTION

In the past decade there has been a tremendous increase in the yields of various crops to meet the demand of overgrowing population, achieved by using pesticides and insecticides. These are chemicals that are sprayed over crop to protect it from pests. For example, DDT, BHC, zinc phosphide,
Mercuric chloride, dinitrophenol, etc. All pesticides are poisonous chemicals and are used in small quantities with care. Pesticides are proven to be effective against variety of insects, weeds and fungi and are respectively called insecticides, herbicides

Pesticides have now been proven to pose potential risks to living beings. “Certain environmental chemicals, including pesticides termed as endocrine disruptors, are known to elicit their adverse effects by mimicking or antagonising natural hormones in the body and it has been postulated that their long-term, low-dose exposure is increasingly linked to human health effects such as immune suppression, hormone disruption, diminished intelligence, reproductive abnormalities and cancer (Brouwer et al., 1999; Crisp et al., 1998; Hurley et al., 1998)”( Md.Wasim Aktar, Dwaipayan Sengupta, and ashim Chowdhury). Having pesticides around us in agricultural fields, parks, schools, homes and practically everywhere is a really concerning topic. I think that the facts that the use of herbicides, fungicides and insecticides amongst other pesticides have been proven to be lethal through ingestion and simple exposure is enough to make people aware for a change. In recent times it has shown its effects here on the planet and have a factor to the contribution of the potential extinction of bees. Some factors that can be causing this Colony Collapse Disorder are pathogens such as Nosema which is a pathogenic gut fungi, Israeli Acute Paralysis Virus and many unknown. Parasites are also a possibility of the Colony Collapse Disorder as well as…

The increase in desire for perfect produce, drives the need for pesticides today. Much debate of the effects of chemicals used on commercial crops and overall long term effects on humans is an increasing concern. With the increase in advertising of organic produce, many standards of farming have been criticized. Many are claiming a large increase in risk to humans for consuming commercially grown produce, because of the chemicals used to manage such a large volume of crops. There have been many debates of the actual risk of pesticide consumption. With advancing technology and farm equipment, many types of chemical sprays and powders have been used. The actual effect of these pesticides and long term exposure can be harmful to human health.…

In our rapidly growing world, human populations have sky rocketed within the past two generations. It is because of this that food must be harvested and provide sufficient nutrients at an unnatural rate. This is where modern science has stepped in, allowing farmers and agricultural workers to reliably yield a successful crop season. The spray on pesticides that eliminate any threat of unwanted parasites, insects, or other organisms that may inhibit the growth of the crops are a product of chemistry combined with agriculture. Two pesticides that are commonly found are captan and methoxychlor. Captan is used for a couple various circumstances, but is primarily used in the protection of fruits and vegetables from insects, rats, and will even help…

Pesticides initially gave positive results for farming purposes by helping crop grow. Created from the mixture of herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides, the chemical pesticides were flooded over growing crops of farmers. The pesticides first cause a majority of insects and weeds to be eliminated so that crops will be able to grow without interruption. When crops are allowed to be grown…

We selected this research project because we want to compare the effects of using papaya’s papain and the commercial meat tenderizers that can be bought in many supermarkets. Some people also tried this research project, like Gian Paul Giron, a student in a university in Manila. It spurred me to work on this problem because other researchers did not accomplish in making the papain meat tenderizer available in markets and can be bought in a lower price than the commercial ones. The results of this study can make a contribution to attain a better quality life, because if this will be successful, consumers can now buy a meat tenderizer that is chemical-free. It means that the papaya that we will be using will not use any commercial fertilizers.…

Having a successful investigatory project is really a great pleasure to us. It helps us improving a certain project and identifying new discoveries from raw materials which can be seen abundantly in our surroundings. So, we, the researchers would like to thank to the following persons who help us make this project successful. First, to our Almighty God who gave us the wisdom that leads us to come up on this great…

The project is all about viscosity. Viscosity is a very important quality of liquids that scientists, engineers, and even doctors are frequently trying to measure and change. It is difficult, for example, to transport highly viscous crude oil through offshore pipelines, so scientists and engineers use a variety of methods to try and lower the oil 's resistance to flow through the pipelines. Likewise, in medicine, doctors try to keep blood viscosity in the correct range. If blood is "too thick," or viscous, a patient can develop blood clots. If blood is "too thin, ' ' or lacks viscosity, however, then the patient is at risk for bruising or bleeding events. Blood viscosity, like most things in medicine, has a happy medium. Volcanologists have a big interest in viscosity, too. The viscosity of molten rock or magma determines how easily a volcano will erupt, and what shape the lava flows and resulting mountains will take on. The researcher would observe that knowing the time it took to travel through the column of a liquid, the height of the column, the density of the sphere, and the density of the liquid, the researcher can then calculate the viscosity of the liquid with the viscosity equation. The researcher 's hypotheses were yes, the researcher can determine the viscosities of the liquids by using marbles. The researcher needed a graduated cylinder, ruler, pentel pen, five liquids (oil, water, hone syrup, vinegar, and soy sauce), stopwatch and five marbles. The researcher needed to get the average time, velocities, the delta 's and lastly the viscosity of the liquids by following the procedures in the methodology part of this project. The researchers results were that the dropped sphere method used was the basic way of find a liquid 's viscosity. The honey syrup…
