Investigation and Analysis of Motivation Factors
Background Information

Employees acting towards company goals and having a strong desire to remain in the organisation are very important for the success of a company. In order to generate such organisational commitment of the employees, the knowledge about what motivates and satisfies them is essential.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate and analyse the factors which motivate employees, under consideration of individual characteristics. This study will make use of individual characteristic such age, gender, position work area, position and year a person has served in the organization. Literature review and questionnaire weres used to provide enough data for this research.

The research identified eight (08) important factors for the motivation of employees being; skill, task identity, task significance, autonomy, feedback, environment, compensation, and job security. The most critical factor has been identified in my research.
