“A STUDY ON INVENTORY MANAGEMENT "
ABSTRACT

The study of the research entitled “A Study on Inventory Management ". The details regarding the history, finance and inventory policies of the company were collected through discussion with company officers.

The main objective of this study is to analyze the inventory position of the company for the period of eight years.

It study also analyze with the funds that are locked up in the inventories that are maintained by the T.I.Cycles of India, limited.

Secondary data is collected through annual reports and financial statements. Data analysis was carried out and findings are listed down. Suitable suggestions have been provided. The study covers inventory position of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods. This study includes tools like:

Ratio analysis
ABC analysis
Trend analysis
XYZ analysis
EOQ of tools

Operating cycle is one of the important factors in determining the working capital needs of the concern.

An analytical type of the research is used for the study. The tools that are used are ratio analysis and trend analysis. Inventory is considered as almost important as it is covers up to 70% of the current assets of any firms. The liquidity position of a firm is also based on the level of inventory it holds.
