Introduction of myself
My primary school was SJK(C) Kepong 2 and I finished my secondary school in SMK St Mary which is a girl school. After graduated, I continued my study of Form 6 in SMK Kepong Baru because my secondary school does not provide tertiary level of education. The reason I study Form 6 is because I wanted to become a veterinarian. But, there is only two local universities providing this course in Malaysia and is too burden for my family if I pursue this course at overseas. Therefore, the only choice for me to get into local university is to study Form 6. Although Form 6 is really tough, but I have never regret of pursuing Form 6 because I gained and learnt much more knowledge than other people.
However, I did not get offer of veterinarian course by local university instead they offered me a course related to food science and food service in Terengganu. At that moment, I felt so disappointed because I have to give up my dream to become a veterinarian. I have no chance to appeal because the rules stated that only those students who unable to get any offer from any local universities can appeal to get a seat in local universities. Therefore, I decided to settle in IMU and pursuing Bachelor of Science (Hons) Dietetics with Nutrition. After solving my doubts regarding this course, I found that this course is quite interesting and suitable for me to pursue too because I like cooking. And lastly I decided to set a new goal for myself to achieve in life. I choose to become a dietitian rather than a nutritionist is because I prefer to work in hospital. By working in hospital, I have more chance to face different kind of special cases because different kind of patients will be admitted into hospital. By that, I can gain more experiences and therefore I can design more specific diet menu for different patients when they consult me.
I will do my best and put in as many efforts as I can so that I can graduate then register with MDA to become a professional dietitian. A

My interest in nutrition began while in high school when I committed myself to improving my athletic performance in cross country running. Fortunately, I grew up in a family that understood the benefits of a balanced diet and was able to take away the importance that fruits and vegetables play in the body. As this interest grew I decided to pursue a degree at Montana State University and am currently planning on furthering my education after graduating. When I have acquired the necessary knowledge, I plan on returning to my home Alaska, and working towards increasing the accessibility and awareness of the importance of a balanced diet. I’m highly motivated to better my home state in a field that both fascinates…

My decision to major in nutritional science is not an arduous decision, rather it developed over time through my Italian heritage; the kitchen was always occupied by my family conversing about the day while my mother made brilliant from-scratch lasagna. After working at the aforementioned KFC and becoming acquainted with the regulars, it dawned on me that I had yet to eat at a fast food restaurant as many of my customers I served did on a nightly basis. The fact that these families made such poor dietary choices inspired me. A career as a Dietician would allow me to carry out this ambition to make a difference in the community and contribute to the end of the obesity epidemic America is suffering.…
