1.1 explain what is meant by, equality? The state of being equal, especially in status, rights, or opportunities.
Equality is ensuring individuals or groups of individuals are treated fairly and equally and no less favourably, specific to their needs, including areas of race, gender, disability, religion or belief, sexual orientation and age.
Promoting equality should remove discrimination in all of the mentioned areas. Bullying, harassment or victimization are also considered as equality and diversity issues

Inclusion?

Decision:

Correct

Feedback:

I agree with the answer provided

The action or state of including or of being included within a group or structure.
Inclusion at its simplest is ‘the state of being included’ but it is a bit more complicated than that… It is used by disability rights activists to promote the idea that all people should be freely and openly accommodated without restrictions or limitations of any kind.
Inclusion, this is the total opposite of discrimination and I think it means to be fully included, to make people feel valued and respected irrespective of ethnicity, gender, disability, medical or other need, culture, age, religion and sexual orientation. It is about giving equal access and opportunities, breaking down barriers and getting rid of discrimination and intolerance.
