In UAE, the higher number of the car plate means the class. Royal families has the 3 numbers on the plate, and citizen has 4, and foreigner has 5 numbers. King’s car number is 0.
Abu Dhabi is the capital city of UAE. Population is about 2.4million. Abu Dhabi’s climate is very dry. Sheikh Zayed bin Khalifa is the ruler of Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi is 87% of UAE area. In Abu Dhabi, 95% of oil in UAE exists. It’s 90billion barrel, which is 10% of the world. That oil money makes Abu Dhabi one of the richest country in the world. Abu Dhabi supports huge amount of money for emirates in the UAE, and other poor countries. Since economic crisis in 2009, Abu Dhabi has become popular as Dubai for capitals from other countries. Capital gate : This is abu dhabi exhibition center and there’re 35 stories. Etihad tower : this is made of 5 skyscrapers. It’s like conbined 5 63building Grand mosque. This is the 6th biggest in the world and the third in Arabian peninsula. Dubai
Dubai is very famous in Korea, everyone knows Dubai. Population of Dubai is almost same as Abu Dhabi. The ruler of Dubai is Sheikh mohammed bin Raseed al maktum. He is also famous in korea for his leadership and creativity. Dubai has oil, but not that much. That’s why Dubai developed non-oil sector industries. Since 2000’s Dubai has been the hub of international finance and distribution industry. But in 2009, developing based on real estate made problems. Because of global economic crisis, Dubai’s one of the main company ‘Dubai world’ was dishonored. It’s called ‘Dubai shock’. But they are still raising many building in their city.
Burj al arab - is famous for its luxurious services and design. It’s the first 7 star hotel in the world. Palm Islands - There are two more Palm islands. Palm jebel ali and palm deira. But due to moratorium, they’re not completed yet. Burj khalifa is the highest building in the world, the height is 828m. This was burj dubai. but sheikh mohammed changed the name to Burg Khalifa as the name of UAE president. Because sheikh zayed bin khalifa the ruler of abu dhabi helped dubai when global economic crisis occurred. He supported 25 billion dollars to Dubai. which means 25조원.
Sharjah is the third biggest emirate in UAE.
They found some oil in their land but it was just a bit. And even worse, in 1980s, price of oil collapse so they had to find other way to develop. Sharjah has 40% of manufacture factory of UAE. And It’s just 10km from Dubai. Because of those things, there are many foreign workers in sharjah to work and stay. Staying in Sharjah is much cheaper than in Dubai. Sharjah is combined with city of Dubai and Ajman. Many Europe and South American companys get into Sharjah because of their policies and location. They growing with the model of Dubai.
Ajman is the smallest emirate of UAE. It’s just one third of Seoul. Ajman is Encircled by Sharjah as you see. They used to do farm work, but these days, as Dubai has done, they are gathering foreign capital. So their economy is growing rapidly. The population is about 300thousands(300,000) Umm Al-Quwain
Umm Al Quwain has least population in UAE. There are just 70 thousands of people. Main industry is fishing and date farming.(date is 대추야자) And the biggest waterpark ‘Dreamland Aquapark’ is in Umm Al Quwain. Ras Al-khaimah
Ras Al Khaimah has a long history. Actually it was the biggest city in their area. I’ll tell you about UAE’s history later. Population is about 250thousands, same as Ajman. Agriculture and fishing are still important, but they are also developing their industries...
