“Into The Wild” was written by Jon Krakauer in 1996, and is based on a true story of a young man named Christopher Johnson McCandless who was born in February 12, 1968 in El Segundo, California. Hunters found his body inside a bus in September 6th, 1992 in the Alaskan wilderness. Christopher McCandless came from a wealthy family. He was very smart, talented, kind hearted and nature loving human. His family was always proud of him when it came up to his education. McCandless was a man of his own, as early age he used his own mind when making decisions. He enjoyed doing thinks on his own. Even though him and his sister Carine McCandless have always been close, he didn’t even keep in touch with her. McCandless impressed everyone that he met in many ways. He bonded a strong relationship quickly and easily. But he avoided his family like they were his enemies. His family has not done wrong to him but cared and supported him throughout his life. McCandless met many people through his adventure that he had different relationships with. The people he met on the road were different from the people that he interacted in his college and family. He kept in touch with most of the people he met on the road. But avoided any kind of contact with his family. When he was on the road, and people he met asked him about his family he showed no care or respect or even wariness towards his family. Christopher McCandless created a barrier between him and his family. If he would have kept in touch with his family McCandless might have had the chance to make it back home
McCandless had a huge angry towards his father mainly because of his previous marriage. Walt McCandless was not a horrible father; he worked hard for his family and provided for them. McCandless mother worked with her husband as well, as a couple they worked together even though they had their ups and downs they put so much time into their financial needs to keep their family well stabled. Christopher McCandless had his own issues; it is hard for one to believe that just because of the mistake his father made can impact him tremendously. McCandless want on with his journey for two years without contacting his family. It proves that he had psychological problems developed against his family mainly and to the people he was close to but no the strangers he met on the road.
