Interpersonal Communications: Impression Analysis
The most hurtful message that would affect me personally would be accusation because I’m a very open and honest person when communicating with my partner, family and friends. I’d rather be asked a direct question instead of being accused without cause and/or justification. Thankfully I have not recently experienced this hurtful message but I would respond in kind with an accusation. Yes, I believe this is a petty way to behavior but I know myself and any other response will be even more hurtful than an accusation. I would use accusation message more as an example to the other party involved. To demonstrate how hurtful accusations truly are in an interpersonal relationship.

“Fundamental and vital to all health care managerial functions, communication is a means of transmitting information and making oneself understood by others” (Borkowski, 2015, P. 79). It is clear that communication is a major issue in this case. Performance of an employee depends on his or her ability to effectively interact with the superiors, co-workers within the organization. As Epley states in Close relationships sometimes mask poor communication, we have an “illusion” of how another person might respond to a statement we have made to them when in fact they respond in a completely different way and just the opposite. “Our problem in communicating with friends and spouses is that we have an illusion of insight” (HealthDay News, 2011).
