yes sandy if another doesnt speak the same language it would be hard not only to understand them but also help them if help is needed. if a patient doesnt understand you can try slower and at a pace they can have a better understanding what is being said to them. You have to overcome barriers so communication can be improved between you and the patient. Patients shouldnt ever be treated in a condescending matter.
