Communication is a type of transfer which is related information between entities. People began to use telephones in the beginning 20th century and they began to use televisions at 1950s. But, they were not affected so much from these technologies as the Internet. It means Internet affected communication of people more than from the television and the telephone. Most researchers and social scientists debate the effects of the Internet. Some of them think these effects are positive some of them think negative. It brings you great gifts with one hand, and it stabs you in the back with the other.” (Technology-The Great Enabler, 2003) As we dissect Snow’s observation it is very evident in the world we live in works because of technology. Looking at a few examples like, work, school, media and all of our hobbies are technology related. By the help of technology, a message can be delivered from one side of the planet to the other in no time. Contrastingly, technology can also destroy the planet and its living beings by the use of one powerful nuclear weapon. The rapid increase in technologies are making human nation forget that we are born in nature. In the same context, communication technology also presents its pro’s and con’s. The question that “is technology tearing apart family life and relation?” is a very interesting topic, yet a very delicate one. By the studies conducted no definite answer comes through; however by looking at the research, theories and results provided it can be said that it does more good to the relation of the family then bad. Therefore, it is safe to say, technology is improving and increasing family relations among children and parents, especially through the communication modes of texting, social networking and video chatting.…
