Despite the undeniable societal prosperity which Internet has brought to many nations all over the world, some people argue that it can reduce the face-to-face communication among the people. In this essay I will outline both aspects, before than representing my personally opinion.
To begin with, the internet is considered as cheaper and easier method of conversations which will be valuable for people to keep in touch together. In present days almost on every people has internet access in order to search some kind information or chatting with others. Because of positive impacts of the technology development, such as 3G, wi-fi or satellite connection, now Internet available almost everywhere on the Earth. Every day the number of people who has registered on social sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram become increase. Due to such social sites people can converse with each other frequently. Now distance will not be barrier for conversation among the people. Therefore the Internet will make unbreakable relationship among the people all over the world
On the other hand, the Internet has some drawbacks which have negative impacts on society. Because of the wide dissemination of the online communication, some social skills as face-to-face communication become rarely using among the people. Nowadays, people prefer stay at home and chat with other in front of computer screen rather than face-to-face conversation on the outdoor. In the near future virtual relationships will substitute real relationships, which will adversely influence on social life. Because people can not represent their senses, loves or mutual understanding for each other through the internet
By way of conclusion, I affirm my position that

The Internet is an incredible invention. It brings a whole world of information to our fingertips. It can literally connect us with people across the globe; people who we otherwise would never have the opportunity to connect with. However, as Dr. Alex Lickerman shares in an article on Psychology Today.com, “even as the Internet has shrunk the world and brought us closer together, it is threatening to push us further apart”. The threat, the danger, is that Internet connection with whole world will ultimately disconnect us from the most important and vital relationships in our lives.…

On the one hand, time spent online is time not spent elsewhere, including participating in social activities and communicating with family and friends. On the other hand, the Internet facilitates communication with geographically distant family and friends, and makes it easier to communicate frequently with those nearby. Two independent reviews of this research (Becker, 2000; Subrahmanyam, Kraut, Greenfield & Gross, 2000) have concluded that there are few documented social effects, either positive or negative (Kraut, Patterson, Lundmark, Kiesler, Mukopadhyay, & Scherlis, 1998; Kraut, Kiesler, Boneva, Cummings, Helgeson, & Crawford,…

In “Isolated by the Internet,” believing only strong social ties buffer us from stress and lead to better social interactions, Clifford Stoll points out that the internet affects our relationships in a negative way: superficial bonds, infrequent face-to-face communication and a narrow “focus.” On the contrary, frequent contact, deep feeling of involvement, and broad content which are the foundation of strong social ties are necessary for developing our relationship. Although many of online relationships develop, most of them represent weak social ties instead of deep ones. Stoll believes the only way to learn how to get along with others is to spend plenty of time interacting with people.…
