Institutional Discrimination: Negative Treatment Of Minority Groups
Institutional discrimination is the negative treatment of minority groups, that is built into society's institutions, such as banks, and schools. Whereas, Individual discrimination is the negative treatment by one person on the basis of that person's perceived character. (Henslin, 2013). The difference would be an entire system is setup to discriminate against you, in institutional discrimination, and an individual will discriminate against you based on his issue. I believe a more serious social problem, would be institutional discrimination. Why, ans individual will have a problem with only you, and the institutional discrimination will discriminate against all minorities. Henslin, illustrates how banking system discriminates against minorities
