Washington Roebling was an inspiring person. An inspiring person is a person who sets positive examples that could affect a better change in someone’s life. Washington was an inspiring person because he was a person with great vision, great determination and persistent to his job.
Washington was a person with great vision. A person with great vision has future plans that could bring lot of benefits. In 1883, Washington shared the vision of building the “Brooklyn Bridge” with his father despite many experts’ rejections he receives against the idea. “Brooklyn Bridge” is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States that connects the New York City boroughs Of Manhattan and Brooklyn. By having such idea in those times plus with limited technologies and equipments, this has made him a person with great vision.
Washington was a person with great determination. A great determination person is a person who strives for success despite many challenges and obstacles that he has to face. After few months the “Brooklyn Bridge” project started, the project came into tragic accident which left Washington with certain amount of brain damage. Washington could not walk or talk or even move, he was only capable of moving one finger. With that one finger, Washington communicated and gave instructions to his workers until the project eventually came into completion. This has made Washington a person with great determination.
Washington was patient to his job. A patient person is a person who is willing to wait and continue making efforts for something to be completed. Washington had put a lot of efforts on the “Brooklyn Bridge” project in spite of his handicapped condition, and after 13 years of waiting and working, the bridge was finally completed. This shows Washington was persistent to his job.
