Inside the Cabin The interior space has always been strength for Tata and the same holds true for Bolt. What has changed and for the better is the styling of this cabin. The dashboard design will look striking to anyone who is familiar with older Tata cars. With black coloured theme, chrome/brushed silver detailing and glossy black accents, the prime features do look elegant. Bolt variants do not have the two-tone dash of Zest but the design itself makes the cabin quite appealing. The knobs and buttons have a tactile feel and with regards to functionality the dashboard is ergonomic and user-friendly.
As in the Zest, quality of materials used here is also admirable. Fit & finish is visibly good even if it does not make Bolt a segment benchmark …show more content…
One of these is the navigation. You need to download MapMyIndia NaviMaps & Harman Smartlink apps onto your Android smartphone, and then configure them to the infotainment set-up of Tata Bolt. The navigation will work offline so you don’t need active data connection for the same. Useful features of the GPS are that it displays; i) the metres or kms to the next point, ii) what the next point is and iii) the total distance to your ultimate destination. The one irritant is that more often it will guide you for the shortest but not necessarily the fastest route. So don’t be surprised if you are taken into a narrow city lane instead of abroad highway to reach a point. In the top end version, the climate control can be operated via the physical knobs as also the touchscreen interface. While we could not check the real impact of the AC in the cold and wet weather of January, the hardware of this HVAC system is the same as that of Zest and so it can be safely assumed that the Bolt will do a good job of keeping its occupants cool in sultry summers. The AC also has an economy mode to reduce the compressor usage which helps in improving the fuel
