“How to Choose the Right Hair Color for You”
“Without these blonde moments; life would be so dull.” –Anonymous
This quote really describes my feelings before I had my first “dying” moment for my hair. I was only 13 when my mom put some chemical on my wavy strands. I’ve decided to color my hair because I want to see my look in a different way.
Today, I will share my knowledge and research about how to choose the right hair color for you. But first, I want to clear that I will not tell you what hair color suites you best, you’re still the one who’s going to decide, but I will help you how to decide in picking the color for you. Dying our hair now is the trend of our generation. Dominant in this room already had their hair dyed so I can see that most of us can relate. Hair really interests me so I know a few advices and I did a research too, I chose my reliable sources very carefully and some of them are O, Oprah’s magazine, Marie Claire and L'Oréal Paris because these are the notable brands we often see in hair salons and media.

Determine the color of your skin – the most important factor in choosing your hair color is you know your skin color first because it will give balance to your overall image.
To determine your skin color, look at your wrists and look what color your veins are. If they are blue, your skin color is cool. However, if they are green, it means warm and if it’s in between, you have a neutral color.
If you have pinkish skin, avoid warm red and golden blonde and stick to ash color

The science of hair color is related to my everyday life, I deal with coloring hair every day at the salon. I am very familiar with how this process works; from just adding highlights, to an all over color and even color corrections for clients. There are many things you have to take into consideration before doing a color service; the condition of the hair beforehand along with what the client would like the outcome to be. Most of the time it is simple but occasionally I will have a challenging color correction that needs to be lifted and then redeposit a color to give a more natural look. I know hair like the back of my hand and I love working with it.…

Did You Know? That Skateboarding can help a person to improve in the areas of balance, flexibility, and coordination. It also helps to tone up muscles and to strengthen the heart. I believe that the more people know about skateboarding the more they will like it and try it out so that is why I’m going to tell a you a little about the history of skateboarding and the types of skateboards. The first skateboards were actually more like scooters, with the undercarriage consisting of roller-skate wheels attached to a two by four. Once the push bar of the scooter-like contraption was broken off, skateboarding was born. No one really know who invented the first skateboard because at the time in the 1950s a lot of people had the same idea and a lot of people were coming out with their own versions of a skateboard. Know a day’s there are a lot of different types of skateboards there is the regular short board it has a concave body style they use them to do difficult tricks and you see a lot of people doing stunts on them. Then there is the long board its another version of a skateboard and its longer they give you the feeling of gliding like your surfing their basically surf boards on wheels that you can use on land and then we also have what we call the slalom boards those are what a lot of racers use they can go up to 30 and 40 m/h and then their is electric boards their battery based so if you don’t want to push or do anything but steer the skateboard you have that option know. Ever since skateboarding was invented it has been through a lot of ups and downs in the beginning it was a huge success until about 1965 a slew of so-called safety experts pronounced skateboarding unsafe because of its rough body style and the fact they used clay for the wheels so there were a lot of accidents then in 1973 the urethane wheel was invented revolutionizing the sport. The new wheels provided much better traction and speed and, combined with the new skateboard specific trucks; it…

Hinduism: Samsara is the repeated cycle of birth, life and death in Hinduism. Karma is the principle where the actions of an individual influence their future. In Hinduism, it is believed that at birth, you are placed in a certain body based on your karma. If you have done good deeds with good intentions and want to continue to do so, in your next life, you will be placed in a body in which you will be able to do so. It is said that we are not bodies, but simply souls that inhabit bodies. After death, our soul continues on into other worlds until it is time to be born into a physical being again. Samsara continues as long as the being desires something. When that being no longer desires anything, Samsara ends and they are able to attain moksha, which is liberation.…

The first thing to start in choosing a salon is to evaluate what needs to be done. A woman who just wants her hair trimmed might go to a beauty salon than women who wants a permanent coloring, or more extensive services. If a woman wants her hair cut promptly and that day, she might be better off visiting to a walk-in salon, more willingly than trying to find her regular stylist. For other kind of services, a woman might want to think about a full-service in by-appointment-only beauty salon. This signifies that she will have a stylist who is expecting her and definitely knows what she wants to be done.…

A beautiful black girl with a long eighteen inch natural hair is complimented daily. Her hair hangs low, almost waist length as it bounces and flows in the wind. The compliments are so encouraging because people are highly impressed with the state of her hair, but discouraging at the same time, because she hears comments such as “I wish my hair was like that but I don’t have good hair,” “She has white people hair that’s why her hair so long,” or even “That’s probably not even her real hair.” This is where African American girls and women fall victim to the ignorance of their natural beauty. This girl was me. I had long hair my entire life hair the length of what people pay hundreds of dollars to get in a weave. Although I have what is considered in today’s world as “good hair,” I at one point decided to go the route to get a relaxer in my hair. Yes, it may straighten out the kinks and curls, but it damages the hair also. After three years, I decided to go back natural, no relaxers, after seeing the harm it can cause to someone’s hair. As the years went by, I got older, and people paid closer attention to everyone’s personal appearance. It became clear that my hair was critical and eye catching in my everyday appearance. After a while, just being known by ‘the girl with the really long hair’ was becoming unacceptable. When people started connecting to me because of a feature that I have or started disliking me because of something you have and they don’t, it becomes startling. That’s when I made the big step. I had already accomplished the natural and relaxed hair beauty, but since people had come accustomed to ‘long straight hair’ as beauty, why not try to beat the odds? I went from having long straight eighteen inches of hair natural hair to having approximately one inch of a naturally curly afro.…
