Infection Transfer Paper
A significant issue in medical care is that contaminated fabrics in healthcare facilities are a known source twofold: (1) to evaluate optimal fabric to minimize pathogen transfer and (2) to establish fundamental knowledge about efficiency textiles to the prevention of pathogens transfer for patients and medical staff. In this project, mix-methods are used to determine optimal fabrics for the prevention of infection transfer. First, quantitative research methods will measure water-vapor resistance (Ret) and stain resistance of the fabrics used it current nurses’ scrubs. Additionally, qualitative research methods are used to gather in-depth descriptions about how nurses wear about their scrubs, and how nurses treat their scrubs through focus
