The Industrial Revolution, which took place in 1760 was a period throughout which predominantly agrarian, rural societies in Europe and America became industrial and urban. Prior to the Industrial Revolution, which began in Britain people used to use hand production methods, and then since the Industrial Revolution it upgraded to machines, new chemical manufacturing and iron production processes, improved efficiency of water power, the increasing use of steam power, the development of machine tools and the rise of the factory system. The Industrial Revolution marked a major turning point in history, almost every aspect of daily life was influenced in some way.

Nowadays children are going to school every day, having fun, playing video games and there is a whole lot more I could go on about, children as young as 5 or 6 have IPad’s, phones, and don’t have to work until they are around 15 years old, but that’s their decision so there’s a huge difference from being forced to work during the Industrial Revolution compared to having a choice of working or not. Now onto the teenagers, a variety of them are getting drunk, smoking, out on the streets at around 3 in the morning causing chaos with their friends and these children are as young as 13. Teenagers are all over social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, twitter and many more, most of the girls just care about “Taking a good picture to upload to Instagram” or “How should they do their make-up” and most of the boys care about “Having a girlfriend” or “What video game should they buy next” etc. The day-to-day life of a child/teenager is going to school and getting an education, coming home to do homework or play Xbox, go on their phone and going out to hang out with their friends. When teenagers reach around the age 15 they can get a job at multiple places such as bakeries, fast food places like McDonalds, KFC, Red Rooster and get around $10 and hour, also they aren’t punished if they are late, they aren’t beaten at work and aren’t forced to risk their lives crawling in
