Executive summary
Indian Oil Corporation Limited, with an yearly turnover of about 2 Lac Crores is the biggest Company in India in terms of sales. It has once again topped the Indian Companies in the Fortune 500 list of Companies with a rank of 125. In such a large sized corporation the common problem is the Receivable Management and formulating a sound Credit Policy and Collection Procedure. In this fluctuating Oil Market it is very difficult to maintain the level of the Sundry Debtors and hence the Profitability. Moreover the Private Companies are entering the Oil Industry which
