Increasing Use of Technology in School
Technology has become very much a part of a student's life today. Whether in the classrooms or elsewhere, the functioning of the school is intertwined with technology. In comparison to the past, technology seems to have a much bigger and more important role to play in schools today.

Technology has become an integral part of teaching and learning in schools. Whether it is through games ore sing a particular computer software or the Internet, it provides a stimulating and fun experience for students of all ages. Learning a concept is more interesting in this way than traditional explanations by the teachers.

With an increase in technology use, students can work faster and more effectively. A classic example is the use of software to type write than write traditionally using pen and paper. For many students, this speeds up their writing time, and allows them to make changes that wood otherwise be too tedious or untidy when written on paper. Not to be forgotten are the various grammar and vocabulary tools that provide an immediate, extensive and accurate way for student to check their work.

Mot importantly, technology extends student learning. With the e-learning platform that most schools have adopted, students can post questions to their teachers. This effectively increases the amount of learning that students can do outside the classroom. Without technology, teaching and learning stops at the end of the school day. However, with the ability to post questions, even if replies are not immediate, student will have the satisfaction of knowing that they have been able to communicate with their teacher. This will decrease their frustration level and spur them to continue with their learning.

On the other hand, is the increasing use of technology becoming an unnecessary expense? Basic technology use such as the use of specific software and the Internet is crucial to students learning but as schools try to extend their use of technology, it can encroach into the realm of the unnecessary. If work can be just as effectively carried out without using technology, then technology is unnecessary and should not be used.

Even more significant are the problems Dan inconveniences that arise should technical failure occur. An increasing use of technology lends itself to an over reliance. Should there be a technical failure, technology then becomes nothing but an obstacle to student ability to learn as effectively as before.

In conclusion, a proper analysis of the effectiveness of technology should precede any actual increase in technology use. If this is not done, technology will no longer be a tool for efficient and stimulating learning but a burden to learning.
