Directions:
1) On the left side of the table, make a list of professional behaviors – include in your list things that would address appearance, image and demeanor; values; responsibility and commitment to a profession. On the right side of the table, list those things that would be in contrast to your list on the left.
2) Describe the communication techniques you would use to confront the incivil behaviors and foster the development professional behaviors. Include actual examples of the statements you could utilize.

You would always want to make sure that no matter what you do or say it needs to be in a professional matter. Always talk to them in a positive, non-harming way. You could also make suggestions that could benefit them, instead of insulting them. If someone keeps doing unprofessional things in the work place, you could say “hey I noticed that you were doing it this way, you could do it this way its more affective.”

3) Reflect here on the times when you encountered, or perhaps initiated incivil behavior(s) in a clinical area or in the classroom. How did you respond/react? What did you do that was successful in bringing out a professional encounter during this event? What did you do that perhaps, brought out more incivility? How would you change your interaction in any future encounters that have the potential to develop into
