Chief Warrant Officer Bryson provided exemplary and effective leadership as Officer-In-Charge (OIC), as Commander, Task Unit 1010.7.2 at U.S. Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station, Far East Detachment Chinhae Korea (NCTS FE Det Chinhae) from 7 August 2014 to 11 August 2016.

As OIC, he was responsible for leading 17 active duty Sailors, four U.S. Civil Service employees and five civilian contractors providing fast, reliable ONE-NET C4I services throughout the Korean Theater of Operations (KTO) to eight Echelon II and III commands across the Korean Peninsula. Assisted the USS MCCAIN on EKMS matters onboard during a port visit, MCCAIN vault door X09 lock ceased and ship’s company altered the operability of the locking mechanisms, requiring an additional 24-hour watch to cover the EKMS vault until re-certified. Providing direction to the MCCAIN crew members, they were able to repair vault door modifications, re-install new X09 lock and pass vault door security inspection. This enabled Combat Systems and Radio to stand-down additional 24-hour watches affecting manning 24/7. Worked through a 100 percent manning loss of Civil Service EKMS Manager, trained one Chief Petty Officer as EKMS Manager during a nine month gapped billet position and provided EKMS support to four Local Elements (LE), maintained a high state of readiness supporting four Echelon III commands. With the loss of Far East EKMS Manager Yokosuka, became the “go-to” EKMS expert for manager duties and issues across eight commands within Far East. Assisted Diego Garcia in vault issues and provided sound guidance that resulted in the accountability for a deployable LE. Provided Far East-wide tasks for all managers and incorporated tracking tools which enabled each account better management tools for proper account administration, which provided Far East Commanding Officer and OICs better situational awareness of each …show more content…
During Commander, Naval Forces Korea (CNFK) headquarters move, directly supported Yongsan Relocation Project (YRP), provided the on-site coordination in conjunction with 1st Signal Brigade and 9th Communications Company commands, coordinating the vast efforts for system operation and 100 percent mission readiness for CNFK staff. For additional CNFK YRP, which additional staff will relocate to Camp Humphreys FY17, he assisted in the development and POA&M for providing of ONE-NET services and additional long haul circuits realignment. During three Network Device Refreshes and Micro-Server farm end of life, maintained 100 percent accountability of computer and network assets and the Far East refresh that encompassed over 500 devices seamlessly.
