I booked THAHN off of a taped audition, and I went out to shoot it in Atlanta. Tyler Perry has such a unique filming style, shooting like seventy pages a day in blocks by location. For example, we're at a crime scene on one day of shooting, so we get to shoot all the parts from six episodes that take place around that location. I play a police officer and I really can't say much more. After working with Tyler Perry and watching this filming style of his, it makes sense how he's able to produce so much incredible content every year. If you're basically shooting a feature film every single day, you can certainly turn out that volume of storytelling.

After this Thanksgiving, I met with the director on a Tuesday and was at a table read on Sunday, before immediately filming the entire story in two weeks. That’s show business. In Vino has a terrific cast, including Sean Young and Ed Asner and tells the story of a billionaire (Asner) who convenes his family to discuss their inheritance after almost being killed by one of his own.

Ed Asner gives Brendan Bradley a foot rub on the set of In Vino
I play the young butler who is a presence and conspirator in practically every scene of the film. I’m perhaps the only man whom Charles Bouitton can trust...or am I? In Vino is written and directed by Leonardo Foti and Executive Produced by Marco Gomez of Venture Hill Entertainment.

I've loved chatting with you and hope we can sit down again in the new year, when I can finally talk about my most ambitious project yet…premiering before Valentines Day….its a first of its kind filmmaking model with a first of its kind distribution plan. Until then, I’ll be on your TV box both during and between the commercials.

That’s about all that I can talk about for now. Thank you, Ruth!

The cast was game, McG clearly knew how to shoot and edit a flashy action sequence (and he loves those long takes), and it had a nice assemblage of colorful heroes (Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Liu) and colorful villains (Sam Rockwell, Kelly Lynch, and Crispin Glover) with a Tim Curry cameo to boot. The film is lively, colorful, and clearly a labor of love for producer Drew Barrymore (who insisted that her angels not use guns). Despite a troubled production (among other things, Bill Murray and Lucy Liu didn’t get along) and a delay from summer to November of 2000, the film snagged a $40 million debut and eventually earned $264m on a $93m…

We are venturing again to Los Angeles this week where 1987 graduate, Corey Jackson, works as a film and television composer. After a movie is made, Corey meets with the director of the film to “spot” the film. This is the process of deciding where music should go in the film and what emotions the music should portray. After the spot, Corey writes the music for one scene at a time. Each composition is sent to the director for approval. Corey says that the director may like it the first time or may send it back with notes and suggestions for him to try again. “Once that is completed I, with the help of my team, will record, mix and deliver the music to the dubbing stage for final mix,” says Jackson. He also describes being on the set of a movie as not glamorous, contrary to what some may think. On a constant deadline, he says working is hard, time consuming, and challenging, but working with like minded people who all have the same ultimate goal and work ethic makes it easier.…

Nearly half (47%) of all illegal border crossings into the U.S. occur along the Arizona border with Mexico. As the state with the most illegal crossings t the United States/Mexico border, its remote and dangerous deserts are the entry point for thousands of Mexicans and Central Americans(Cooper). The non-native citizen population has grown rapidly in this area. Arizona had an estimated 460,000 illegal immigrants in April 2010, a figure that had increased fivefold since 1990.(Cooper). Illegal immigration, like most other issues has an upside and a downside. On the upside, there is a steady workforce for the labor industry (agriculture, construction, etc.), and the service industry (restaurants). The agricultural industry in Arizona is comprised of 59% immigrants, the construction industry is made up of 27% workers not native to the United States, and the service industry is populated by 22% foreign born employees. On the downside, illegal immigration brings its share of problems including crime, poverty, uncirculated funds (pay not reintroduced into the economy in which it was originated), and an overburden on social services. It is the latter that sparked the now controversial Senate Bill 1070 that effectively closes the border to all but the few lucky enough to obtain legal status.…
