In A Cappella Sing-Song 'Elon Is Coming Home To You !'
In a cappella sing-song fashion the Angels responded back: “Elon is coming home to you!”
Instantly Ella’s reflection in the mirror glowed twenty years younger. Then for one whole day and one whole night, living only on an effusion of sheer joy she required no food, drink or sleep. After that every day was spent wondering if today she would see him.

After brushing her silky, blond hair, Grace Johnson slipped on a pink dress that complimented her ocean-blue eyes exquisitely. Good spirits were the only things in mind, for she was flying to Louisiana—alone. Grace bolted to the kitchen for some breakfast, but halted to a stop seconds later, after seeing something odd. From the corner of her eye, she spotted a shadow. Grace briskly turned around. There was nothing, just a plain, white wall. Grace’s heart sank down to her stomach. She quickly sprinted towards the kitchen,…

I stared down at my reflection in the crystal clear water. My chestnut brown hair that had never been cut since I was born was laying delicately on my face. It wasn't very long, only enough to cover my eyebrows a bit. I looked around at the place where I sat, watching the jade leaves dancing down from the trees. It was afternoon, about to be seven o'clock, the wind was blowing from the east, and gently flew past me to the west where it hit the ocean.…

I watch you drag your numb limbs across the dusty white floors and slump into the seat furthest in the corner, isolated, alone. You mumble words which spill out your mouth in a disjointed mess; wasted words for only the silence to prey upon. Your eyes, blank and empty, stare at the clock which resides on the wall. For hours you sit there, persistent, unrelenting, watching as time turns stale and the seasons slowly blend into one.…

With the Sun carefully loosening its grip, a beautiful sunset ended another day as the fading light fill the scrawling clouds with the golden color of red and yellow. However, this beauty meant very little to one person. Standing on a hilltop that overlooked his former high school, there was one thing that crowded Ben's mind and he desperately wanted it to vanish. He wasn't even sure why he had come this way, his legs taking him to that place full of happiness and painful memories.…

A moment later the light had faded. Out in the garden then? But the trees spun darkness for a wandering beam of sun. So fine, so rare, coolly sunk beneath the surface the beam I sought always burned behind the glass. Death was the glass; death was between us, coming to the woman first, hundreds of years ago, leaving the house, sealing all…

We set together, on the sandstone bench outside her theater class. Being next to her lightened my day and added color to my world. I wanted to tell her that. I wanted to whisper it to her heart. I wanted to let her know that she was the sky, the sun, the air; she was everything and everywhere. But it was too late, by then she had said goodbye and continued on her distinctive path. I then placed my head down to see the dull gray ground. My pupils decreased in size and I then became surrounded by the past. One smile, one look, that’s all it took for her, to sweep me of my feet.…

I was giddy, like a five year old practically hopping up and down in my seat. As we exited the highway and began going through town, my anticipation grew; everything was beautiful and glistening with the summer sun. Heat waves from the concrete licked at the car tires as we made our way through the furiously hot city. Up ahead a bridge loomed, and I was in such a hurry to cross it. We started moving up over the city and then, through the shiny window glass, I saw the blue-green waters, reflecting like a mirror to the sky. My heart soared; I was home.…

“And also in a moment his heart responded thrillingly to this novel mood. An instantaneous and strong impulse moved him to battle with his desperate fate. He would pull himself out of the mire; he would make a man of himself again; he would conquer the evil that had taken possession of him. There was time; he was comparatively young yet; he would resurrect his old eager ambitions and pursue them without faltering. Those solemn but sweet organ notes had set up a revolution in him. To-morrow he would go into the roaring down-town district and find work. A fur importer had once offered him a place as driver. He would find him to-morrow and ask for the position. He would be somebody in the world. He would…”…

    2. As the bus pulled up to the stop, Renee steadied herself and slowly walked toward the edge of the sidewalk. Ever since the fire, her life has taken a unexpected path. She was once beautiful, with bright blue eyes, rosy lips, and a head of dark, curly hair. Now, she shuffled slowly and had to be careful to not bump her delicate, scarred skin. The fire that burned down her home also attacked her. Instead of a light, vivacious 25-year-old, Renee resembled a 90 year old woman -- bald, twisted, and hunched over.…

Within this poem is a lovely array of splendid imagery that allows the reader to truly feel as if they were there experiencing the memory themselves. When describing her surrounds they are idyllic, and pure. Even the dangers of the trip such as the jelly fish, or the steering of the boat, are never referred to as scary or unsafe, but calm…

The tough times of latter years had wrinkled the skin on his face, yet the old green eyes affectionately gleamed about the times ahead. He gazed intently at his gnarled hands which persistently provided reminiscence of the past. His aches were his constant companions, not friends, but always with him. His voice was slow as he stumbled upon words at times. But often he was overwhelmed by emotions that had been buried for decades. These emotions, however were destroyed in an instant.…
