Introduction With changing environment in international economy it is but relevant and necessary to understand the characteristics of global business environment. In this context, globalization has forced corporations and countries to adjust and adapt to the fast changing realities of doing business within the same geographical regions and across different parts of the world. This calls for in-depth and clear understanding of how business environment has changed globally and what are the global environmental factors and issues that must be analyzed. Through this course the student will be able to understand internationalization patterns of firms when operating across the border while identifying various constraints and issues on international business and develop strategic plans for effective cross-border business. The course seeks to enable the students as future managers and entrepreneurs to work in an open, highly competitive and dynamic business environment both at a national and global level.

Objectives The course envisions at achieving the following objective(s): to examine and analyze globalization and its impact on organizations going global to understand ever changing business environment in this era of globalization to keep pace with the rapid liberalization, interdependence and global inter-connection to enable students develop finer skill and articulation to analyze the business environment while taking decisions in different situations in international business.
