Imagine Dragons Song Analysis Essay
After I annotated this song and actually looked into what the lyrics were saying I learned that not everyone is who you think they are. For instance, you hide a lot of things from people not because you want to ,but because you don’t know how to tell them or maybe you’re afraid of what they will think of you. In the song ‘Demons’ by Imagine Dragons the singer says,”I wanna hide the truth’(Imagine dragons line 8 box 3) ,but then he says,” don’t want to hide the truth.”( Imagine Dragons line 35 box 8) I think that he is having mixed feelings what he should do. He is afraid that if he tells you that you may leave him or you won’t look at him the same way ever again. In the music video it gives you a very good example about how much you may not know about your best friend. You may think you now everything about someone and you may no nothing about a person. In the video it shows a boy playing video games and then his drunk dad comes in the room and starts attacking him. I bet that boy has told no one about that situation because if he did he wouldn’t still be living with him. Like i said earlier he is afraid to tell people because he doesn’t know one, how his dad will react and two, how many people may judge him. So, he thinks that he should just live through it and not tell anyone. Another, thing could be that he …show more content…
You can think you know everything about a person ,but that doesn’t mean you do. I know that you’ve heard this ever since you were five ,but it’s the truth, ‘Be the friend you want to have’ and ‘ treat people how you wish to be treated.” I say this because maybe you went through a tough time and no one noticed how much pain you were in. So always make sure your friends are okay they may have a smile on their face, but remember that doesn’t always mean they’re okay on the inside. It’s so much easier to put a fake smile on your face then it is to tell everyone exactly how you are

I chose “Bullet with Butterfly Wings” by lyricists and lead singer of the Smashing Pumpkins Billy Corgan as my song for the poetic analysis essay. I seemed to identify with the song the first time I heard it on the radio. The lyrics describe how many teens felt growing up in the 1990’s, myself included, hating everything around us and facing adulthood with hopes that some contentment in life will come.…

Jim Morrison "Friends can help each other. A true friend is someone who lets you have total freedom to be yourself— and especially to feel. Or not feel. Whatever you happen to be feeling at the moment is fine with them. That's what real love amounts to— letting a person be what he really is.... Most people love you for who you pretend to be.... To keep their love, you keep pretending— performing. You get to love your pretense.... It's true, we're locked in an image, an act— and the sad thing is, people get so used to their image— they grow attached to their masks. They love their chains. They forget all about who they really are. And if you try to remind them, they hate you for it— they feel like you're trying to steal their most precious…

It takes something very immense to show who your real friends are. It could range from a moment of drama where a friend stays by your side, to sitting bed side by your friend in critical conditions. I learned how to be the person who shows their true side in these situations. By doing so, I have been brought closer to many people who will now return the favor when my time of need comes. Always remember to ask the question, “Who will be there for me?” when you pick friends to bring into your circle.…

Lieder ohne Worte (Song without Words) is written by the Romantic composer Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy. It is a collection of forty-eight short lyrical piano pieces of markedly song-like character that he wrote at various periods of his life between 1809 and 1847. They are well suited to the study of musical form because of their artistic value. Op. 19b, No. 1 Andante con moto in E major was written in 1830 and is the first in the collection. The piece is in the key of E major and modulates from E to B to G major.…

One by one, the guests arrive The guests are coming through The open-hearted many The broken-hearted few And no one knows where the night is going And no one knows why the wine is flowing Oh love I need you I need you I need you I need you Oh . . . I need you now And those who dance, begin to dance Those who weep begin And "Welcome, welcome" cries a voice "Let all my guests come in." And all go stumbling through that house in lonely secrecy Saying "Do reveal yourself" or "Why has thou forsaken me?" All at once the torches flare The inner door flies open One by one they enter there In every style of passion And no one knows where the night is going ... And here they take their sweet repast While house and grounds…
