Imagery In Introduction To Poetry By Billy Collins

These past eight weeks have seemed to fly right on by. While in this class I have gotten a better understanding on literature. I usually struggled with poems, to just make sense of it. But, now I have a better grasp on them. While reading Introduction to Poetry by Billy Collins I really liked the way he used words to describe what point that he was trying to get across. He wanted the reader to not just look at the poem and try to figure out what it meant. He wanted them to try and find different ways to approach the poem, to understand it, rather than just demanding what it was about.
