Illegal Immigration Persuasive Speech
It has been a long journey leading up to this highly anticipated moment. I stand here today as a result of your support and devotion to exercise one of the most important rights guaranteed to all U.S. citizens – the right to vote. Thank you, my fellow Americans, for letting your voices be heard and choosing me to lead our nation.
We have a great task laid before us: to make this country greater than it ever was before. Our economy is failing, our enemies do not fear us, our citizens are being denied the medical care they deserve, Government spending is out of control, our immigration policy is not effective nor efficient, and race relations are continuously dividing our citizens. However, I urge you to not distress. Instead, you should look forward to the great future that lays just down the road.
Some doubt that the problems this country faces can be fixed by the Government, and, I must admit, I agree with them on most issues. How does a government change the way people look at

Of the 11 or 12 million illegal immigrants in this country, it is estimated that around three-fourths are currently employed. This equates to eight or nine million jobs that Americans are not able to have. By deporting illegal immigrants, we are creating eight million jobs for our citizens and not some other country’s. With almost 95 million Americans unemployed, eight million jobs will have a dramatically positive effect on our economy.
However, immigrants should be encouraged to come or return to America if they choose to follow the proper immigration laws. Many complain that the immigration process takes too much time. I propose a merit based immigration program, where those who are willing to help in the rebuilding of America will be given

To explain, “If labor and immigration laws were enforced...[it] would create up to 14.4 million job openings, satisfying a good many of the 17.2 million jobless legal residents of this nation” (Confer). One major factor that brings immigrants to the United States is the opportunity for jobs. If these immigrants were unable to find jobs, the likelihood of them staying here in America is slim. If there is approximately 14 million illegal immigrants here in the U.S. and majority of them have jobs, then getting rid of them would free up jobs for American citizens. Giving these jobs back to Americans would help the economy because they would pay their taxes. Some might argue that illegal immigrants are an asset to the economy because they will work for the lowest wages. For instance, “The city has a thirst for people who will work for $5 or even $3 an hour” (Rayner). Nonetheless, these low wages that immigrants work for do not save the United States enough money to pay for the billions of dollars in federal expenses. According to S.J. Miller, “Illegals...cost American taxpayers $10 billion yearly in federal expenses alone”. This shows how the benefits that come from immigrants are not great enough to suppress the burden they bring to the…

I am Keith Marquez, I am a ninth grade student attending Windsor High School in California. I am writing to you as I have an issue with your policies on immigration. My mother had to immigrate to the United States from Mexico. I know first hand how it is like to be born to immigrants and she is anything but a criminal. I believe the immigration laws you plan to put in place should be less harsh and only convicted criminals should be deported. No one should be forced to leave the country if they are contributing to the society by working. No one in Mexico wants to come to the United States, they are forced to by terrible living conditions and a strive to have a better life for their family. The wall you plan to build is not needed and I believe…

PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a psychiatric disorder that can occur following the experience or witnessing of life-threatening events such as the military combat, natural disasters, terrorism incidents, or any major tragedy. This is common in the life of veterans and is the leading cause of suicide among veterans. A VA patient who survived in Baghdad shares his experience with PTSD and explains how he knew he had this disability. Many veterans speak out about this issue and describe their continuous anger, alcohol addiction, and constantly wanted to fight. They usually feel very isolated and distant from their loved ones. One patient states, “PTSD involves rocketing into extreme states of stress re-activity; in the form of terror, rage, and uncontrollable impulses, and plunging into equally extreme states of being shut-down—exhaustion, emotional numbing, despair, and dissociation”. PTSD is about having fear and anxiety, allowing veterans to rage with anger and different emotion. There are many factors to PTSD, which affects others in different ways; or example, using video games to keep them occupied, spending money due to the lack of impulse control because of changes in their brain, and even not obtaining another job.…

Illegal Immigrants also contribute to the economy as well to the government. Offering to get paid low wages, the immigrants help companies compete with low priced products from other companies. By granting citizenship on the illegal immigrants, the tax revenue would also increase by 4.5 billion dollars in a span of three years according to the Congressional Budget Office. This would be a big aid to the economy as well to the government. It would also as well increase the labor force as more people retire and this would benefit the…

The United States is famously known as “ The land of the free and the home of the brave…” Many Americans respect and honor these words, and millions of others take these words to heart and make it their goal to make it to the ‘The Promise land’. In the past 44 years the immigration rate has increased by 13.3% and by the year 2020 it will be at a record breaking 20%. This raises concerns for many Americans implying that the immigration would result in a job decrease and overpopulation so their immediate solution is to deport all undocumented people. Although it may seem like a great idea within the first the 200,000 deported immigrants gone the job and education rate would decrease rapidly causing a severe devastation in the economy.…

This is a post from one of my Facebook friends from Europe "The Uk still has some sort of border control so we have got off lighter than other european countries, although London our capital city which is a 30 minute drive from me has areas where we are not allowed to go...these areas are being patrolled by night by sharia police, muslim citizens that harass westerners for wearing the wrong clothing (young girls out clubbing) people who are drinking alcohol are beaten, the police have given up policing these areas for fear of being called a racist because anything you say against these people this is the final assault. Birmingham is the same along with manchester and other northern cities. I had to stop my son from going on a college trip to paris recently because the migrants there have trashed the…

My point is clear, if you want social justice, you can't ban religious matters in any race.
